Overlanding with a CPAP; Power options?

What is the power draw of the CPAP? With that you can calculate how much battery you need based on how long you will go without charging.

Overlanding with a CPAP; Power options?

I bought one there. I'll be really testing it this weekend.

what PSI do you run on trails?

I've been running at 20 PSI. Regular is 20 on door frame. I'm not sure 29 is correct based on the size of tires, lift and weight of vehicle. I just got chalk to run a test but it has been raining and I've been looking for a flat area.

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

Tundra's are engineered and built in the US with 70% domestic parts. New version is due in 2021 https://www.motortrend.com/news/15-trucks-suvs-vans-with-most-north-american-made-parts/?fbclid=IwAR2Q6M537KGqcYCCXpUHpf9JqTvP4X4UqvwGLJtFYH3FZ37ix7Ve2JsVGb0

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

You start out heavier so it makes sense. As / if you continue to add weight these may work for you as the next step. I'll find out this weekend if the airbags did the job.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I didn't want to make the ride harsher.

    Proposal to Commercialize National Parks

I don't want to turn national parks into Disneyland but there can be a lot in-between. Forest rangers don't need to clean toilets or sling burgers. A decent vendor can do that better and more efficiently. As with most things it's where the line is drawn that matters.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Firestone airbags with Daystar cradles. No more rear sag!!

    Proposal to Commercialize National Parks

Be careful what ypu wish for. You just may get it. crowd control, food, parking, and design and construction. I think that's a bout 50%. I could see that. Unfortunately I'm not sure the vendors could make it profitable unless the government subsidizes.

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

No doubt the Ford and Chevy are less expensive than Toyota and probably more comfortable and have more features than Toyota. Frankly they are all great vehicles compared to the previous generations. What ever someone chooses will provide great value. Even FCA vehicles can be good. Decide that is...

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

i'm sure. But close to the end of their useful life. I'm old enogh to remember when 100K was the end. It's a fantastic thing. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/the-most-reliable-pickup-trucks-on-the-road-today/

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

Toyota is definitely behind on innovation and upgrades and prefers to concentrate on quality and reliability. I recently met with a Toyota engineer and he said a new Tundra should be available in 2021 and Tacoma 2022 or 2023 he didn't mention 4 runner.(he is on the truck team) . I struggled...

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

Features and comfort go with Ford or Chevy. Longevity go Toyota. I haven't bought a new vehicle since 98 because of the depreciation on new. Maybe not an issue if you keep it 200k. If you had a Tundra you wouldn't be replacing it now. Look at the value of Tundras with 200K. Stupid. But for a...

    Looking for rig suggestions

Strange. I guess it depends on where you go. For most of us it's not an issue. At the most recent Expo East I learned a lot from the driving classes that made sense but weren't the way I thought that might have prevented many of the bumps and dents I have had. I had the chance to drive over...
