We are having on OB committee of radio ops this week. Maybe the freq plan could be codified and posted. Ill try to verify what has been published and so forth....
Heres how the "big boys" do it - easily adap[table to all our uses...

This was the piece I noticed on freqs:
"
I configure all of my amateur VHF/UHF radios with the same basic configuration.
My configuration contains 37 2M ham simplex frequencies that have been “channelized” based on the ARRL Band Plan and popular regional channel spacing plans of 15kHz, 20kHz...

For me, its Ham installed, backed up wiht CB and GMRS handhelds for interoperability purposes.
Some thoughts on radios for overlanding....
CB: low power, sometimes crowded, although the throngs seem to be fading....

I settled on...
The front powered wheels are sort of the old thing about "is it easier to push a steered cart od pull it" that we have all experienced at Home Depot. Pulling has something to do with it, for sure.
I go into 4WD any time the surface is wet or slippery. The safety margin is noticeable in the...
As far as antennas, I have a Nagoya mag mount dual band that I will use until I settle on a good choice for permanent install. If the mag mount works well, Ill just use that. I know its not optimal, but in de facto use, will it suffice? We shall see.
Still in the process. Swap Meet tomorrow!
Right now I'm thinking the most likely is a 50-watt dual band in the truck, augmented by handheld CB and handheld GMRS
So Im guessing, after doing some more reading, that the corner mounts and Comet mounts give a ground plane effect in some or most directions, depending on the mounting locations, but not in all directions. Would not be apparent in close distance comms. Would give directional sensitivities as...
