    Banning Boondocking?

The government corrupts and destroys everything it touches. People eager for more governments re usually just too lazy to do their own stealing,so they attempt to elect the "government" they believe will give them the most of somebody else money. RV Park owners should be cautious not to start...

    Jeep Gladiator Steering Repairs

Mine drives great and has from the time of delivery, I'm not sure I'd want Skip and Gomer working on it if it didn't. Death wobble and lifted Jeeps. I bet I've watched 100 YouTube videos with people installing lifts, most of them "professional shops", never once have I seen a torque wrench...

    Bronco Reservation Canceled

Bronco possesses the same fatal flaw the Wrangler does for me, which is inadequate cargo capacity for extended use. I know there are people who live out of them full time, and more power to them, it ain't for me. Gladiator with a shell on the back is the smallest thing I can imagine living...

    Snorkels?

I have to admit I am generally not a fan, and I think gains are minimal for the overwhelming majority of consumers. BUT, I do think the mid century industrial design of the Hauk River Raider is pretty cool and reduces some exposure to being removed against your will. A cyclonic precleaner like...

    Tire Recommendations

Until I wear a set out obviously cost per mile cannot be calculated, but I predict it to be substantially lower than the premium brands, and do it while delivering premium performance. Something I noticed both with the 275/70R18 on my current Ram, and the 35/1250R17 waiting for the PW is there...

    Tire Recommendations

My experience is positive and unchanged. To such a degree as that there are 5-35/1250R17 KR601 sitting in my garage waiting on my Power wagon to arrive. Very impressed with these tires

Need some real world suggestions on lighting options.

LED can be had in any color temperature you want, any throw configuration you want, are more durable, and lower electrical load than halogen or HID, LED is superior in every way. Good LED however is not cheap, which seems to be the rubbing point for most people. "Lights are lights and these on...

    Portable Jump Pack?

NOCO GB70 here, Amazon will run sales on them at about $125, regular price is about $200. Everything about it is well done, except the sock they give you to store it in, but a proper case can be sourced for about $15 I'm super paranoid about lithium fires, and NOCO has a good reputation. Even...

    Vehical camp lighting question

I was making a specific recommendation for running specific lighting, 16ga wire @7ft is good for 10 amps, which is enough LED to light up the world. I understand, he doesn't know a lot and says as much, so I was helping him narrow that down and reach an uncomplicated solution. While your...

    Vehical camp lighting question

Yes it won't run sodium phosphor lamps, but you connect enough LED to 16ga wire that you will have more than enough light without it being an issue.

    Lockers for 2WD

Be it 2wd or 4wd a select-able rear locker is a massive enabler. Regardless the type/trademark name of whatever manufacturers "limited slip" differential, a rear locker is a quantum leap forward in capability. Even with 4wd for the majority of circumstances a rear locker is all that is required...

    Bronco? Tundra? Other? HELP!!!

Bronco has all of the problems of a Wrangler, which is primarily a lack of cargo area. In your circumstances, not geared toward offroading, a half ton or (in my opinion) 3/4 ton 4x4, crew cab, gas burning pickup. If you add a shell on the back you have all the room you can ask for in the...

    Cheap vs inexpensive

People confuse "cost of acquisition" and "cost of ownership", and they are rarely synonymous. The dealership rotated the tires on my Gladiator for "free", which by any measure would be cheap. However they over torqued the wheels to the extent that I twisted off a 4" 1/2" drive Snap On extension...
