To say nothing of trail erosion.
Peopleaact llike it is some kind of failure to pull rope. That's what it is there for.
Hooning, wheel hopping, spinning and slinging. "Leave no trace" remember? I've seen people on this very site obsessing on how to shower without contaminating the environment...
No, specifically I am looking at Iridium Go 9560, which allows all of the functions that your smart phone which you would tether to it has (low download speeds) voice, text , data.

Yeah I wouldn't foresee any real circumstances where I would just turn it off, when the whole purpose is to have it on.
If the Garmin does everything the Iridium does and does it for less money then it is a good choice, but I don't think it does.
I'm not keen to fall into the "just buy this...
So that's the thing, I don't know that I "need" a satphone, but I do like the idea of one.
I also very much like the idea of tethering my everyday device as opposed to a stand alone unit.

I'm seeing the Iridium hotspots for what seems to be a reasonable price ($500-$700) considering the features and flexibility , can any of you give us the inside story on using a device like this?
The chances of that gaining enough traction to carry are nil. Texas has a large enough population of corruptocrats, leftists and other miscellaneous and sundry parasites that a public referendum will never pass.
But it sends a message, and I like the message it sends.
Property taxes are generically higher in Texas due to the lack of state income tax. Property values in more rural areas are still quite low, and property is affordable.
If you can find any conversation or controversy about "the homeless population" stay away. There are homeless everywhere in...
Installed Lamin-X on KC Gravity Pro6 and fog lights. Amber on the outer 4 and fogs, clear on the inner 4
I like the KC lights, but I really don't know why they don't offer amber lenses on the LED product, or even clear covers. They have amber covers and black covers, I want to be able to use my...
