No rush. I am thinking about going the other way. Having a trailer is nice (room, kitchen, etc) but you also have to tow it around all day which might be clumsy.
We bought a teardrop trailer in 2012, and even though it is nice, it is "another thing" to take care of.
How do you like the bed rack and tent? I was looking into the same setup for my truck. Is it solid and how is the rack attached? I would appreciate another photo or two being posted.
Since a few years (4 or 5, I don't recall) I have a Warrior Products Renegade roof rack because I was looking for a fastback style RR (for obvious reasons - a full length roof rack looks silly on an open Jeep or one with a fastback IMHO).
It is solid, but you definitely need the wind shield...
So the other interesting question is where to get good maps. What I've seen at REI and other stores are very specialized maps for hikers, etc. But I have not seen either good overview maps that were not be in a book format, or in a more local scale of 1:50000 or similar.
What do you guys recommend?
I have the same roof rack for a few years now. No major concerns / problems, but what i did was to caulk the gaps that were around the welds (in the brackets), because I saw water pooling there - this cannot be good in the long run.
I lost one of the stabilization bolts in the back though. How...
I am running 33's with a 2.5 inch lift. The reason for that -even though 35 seems to be the standard for JKU aftermarket tires- is that I wanted to just go up one size to avoid too much changed geometry in drive shafts, etc. and also in regards to the speedo recalibration. My current tire size...
I see a couple of products in the olive/black color combination (e.g. hats), but others don't have it. IMHO this is a pity because I think it is the best combination (and yes, I understand, the yellow/gold is a brand "thing").
What are your thoughts on promoting olive/green to a first class...
I know it will not change anything but I had a similar story.when we moved from Germany to the US in 2007. I had a Harley and literally 2 weeks before the move the moving company informed me that they can't put the bike into the container, because it has to be DOT compliant before it enters the...
I installed mine under the right taillight. Unfortunately nothing on the Jeep is 100% flat, but that location is not too bad. I like how it is in line with the taillight, and the lower hinge.
This is interesting. How is it attached to the bed? Can you share some photos (a little big larger than your avatar)?
I do have a tonneau cover that I like to keep as well, which is attached to the insides of the bed with clamps and I am wondering if it will conflict with that ...
