For storage the dryer sheets work great, not sure how they would do with everyday use. I’ve used them for years on my Nova and my RV with zero problems.
The little guys are there for the heat, looks like they moved in quick on you.
I sure do, it’s always a compromise. You will definelty have a rougher ride but it won’t be a night and day difference. That sort of thing is like taste in food, peoples tolerance for a rough ride is very subjective.
If you will likely get the bumper within a few years I’d suggest going...
I can only speak to OME experience from my Jeep perspective but it was a high quality and great performing system that I would receommend to anyone.
Their nitro shock upgrade from their basic system is well worth the money.
They have a lot of different spring rates to choose from so take your...
I use a stainless hood/fender nmo mount so I didn’t have to drill any holes in my body. I started with a comet antenna with a spring but moved to a Larsen without. The thing takes an absolute beating and I’ve had zero problems.
Good point, in the states the Good Samaritan laws very regionally. As a first responder the rules are different and we need to give the level of care with in the scope of our practice and certification.
If you have a WiFi only iPad you will need to purchase a 3rd party wired or wireless gps device to work with GAIA as well as downloading your maps onto your iPad for offline use.
Here is a spec sheet on the size tires I’m guessing you are looking at. The c or e rating is a single or dual ply that is equivalent to the older 6 or 10 ply tires. You will see the max carrying capacity per tire is significantly different, this will also tell you about the rougher ride for...
2015 F150 currently. Here is my build thread: https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/stealth-overland-sar-f150.9941/
I’ve owned a couple Silverados (1998, 2005), a 2008 F250 diesel, a bunch of Jeeps (87 CJ, 94YJ, 05LJ, 91MJ) and a few others. All were modified to some extent or...
For a temperary solution they are “ok”. You will get a lot of rattling and bouncing around. I’m not sure that I would trust them for any Offroading application.
No prob!
A 2” level and the 33”s will make a surprising difference in your height. It took me about a week or two to get used to my added height on my truck. I kept missing my step when I wasn’t paying attention.
You would see wear marks on the tires and the wheel wells if they were rubbing that much. Did you happen to check the spare tire to see if it was getting too much heat from the exhaust?
2” level and 35’s won’t work expect for a truck that drives to the mall to look cool, you will lose articulation and steering lock to lock in most cases.
I would recommend the 2” level and 33’s. Be realistic on what you will use your truck for 90% of the time. Buy a quality level kit such as...
What aftermarket equipment is going in your truck? The E rated tire would hold more weight.
I have the E rated KO2 on my F150 and they are awesome when I tow but are also a much rougher ride unloaded.
Being a 10 ply they “may” hold up better to abuse but I don’t expect more mileage out of...
Here is a great read on civilian use of tourniquets:(if you don’t have one, you need to get one)
