New ford bronco capabilities. Is jeep in big trouble?

I have a predisposition to not buying Fords for much the same reason I have a predisposition to not buying VW bad history. I think : Ford seriously screwed the pooch releasing the new Explorer and calling it a Bronco. People will buy some full size Broncos Jeep will continue to dominate...

    Portable fire pits

That is super nice and looks to be substantially constructed, you should have mentioned it's not inexpensive about 215 more times though, because it certainly isn't inexpensive, LOL

Yes sir, Jim did ask if he could share that link. I posted it to help people and pass along a deal, he's getting more traction than I did, so all is good, thanks for the words.

    HOT DEAL

Good stuff, thanks for sharing. Replacement lids are available as well as other parts. Go here for parts and accessories for MFC/MWC Note that parts between MFC and MWC are not interchangeable for the most part (for obvious reasons)

Looking for advice on snatch block purchase

Something rated for twice as much as your winch, with the biggest sheave you can stand, and correct for the type of rope you are using. The recovery rings work ok, but there is much friction between the soft shackle and the bearing surface of the ring. I have a Factor 55 ring and it is very...

    DIY cargo deck plate advice

I have a Goose Gear rear seat delete in the Gladiator, it is very nice and I don't feel like I got robbed. That said from a material standpoint it is 12mm Baltic Birch plywood that costs about $35 for a 5'x5' piece (don't ask me why the thickness is measured in mm and other dimensions feet)...

    Amber vinyl for fog lights

I'll just say that taking the lights off of/out of the vehicle will make the process easier and the outcome more successful.

You won't have to worry about crushing or puncturing an LCI or Scepter MWC MFC. In fact I can virtually guarantee that I can fatally wound a steel Jerry can with one stroke of a claw hammer. I would not say that of an MFC or MWC. I understand that steel is your preference and keeping with...

Trying to select the correct vehicle for first overland build

Horsepower to weight ratio I would guess. It doesn't really matter how many gears they have it is entirely a matter of engine management. And mid size really aren't much smaller or lighter than a full size half ton. When you step into the HD trucks they pack on quite a bit more weight in the...

Trying to select the correct vehicle for first overland build

LOL, press on regardless! I daily drive a Ram 2500 6.4l 4x4 with 3.73's and the factory (32") tires. Stays in the 13's in mixed urban/rural and 16-17 on the highway under 75mph. I ordered a Tradesman PW in December that is supposed to ship on 3/8 . I'll see how it does on 35's with 4.10's...
