I average 11 mpg. I’ve run the numbers and found that I can drive 12k miles a year and break even with the price of a new truck ($40k) in about 12-15 years. I’ll take the adventures and gas bill.

@JDGreens you could definitely used some lower gears – and a locker. 4.10s would be ideal for 33's. You might lose a little mpg on the highway but you'll get all your low end grunt back.

If they get you unstuck once, they are worth the money. GoTreads have been around since the 70s but they don’t have fancy marketing and branding like Maxtrax. Mostly the same thing though. They are much cheaper, collapsible, and have a lifetime warranty. I’d say give them a shot and let us...

Those Baja Designs XL80's are so good! I have 3 on my bumper and it's nearly impossible to outrun them. Price is good too, I wish I got that deal.

My in-laws recently moved to Las Vegas, so the plan is to make many trips out there to visit. I'd love to get together with some LV OB members and hit the trails when I'm in town.
