Got the XJ console in, Not quite as easy as they make it out to be. Old plastic console bracket was broken. Gear selector unit decided it wanted to come apart. It was broken but fell apart.

My XJ center console bracket came in from Jcr. Going to try and put that in while waiting for the obd reader if it doesn’t start to rain.

I did try and reseat the gas cap. Maybe I need a new gas cap. It is a old vehicle.

The tail pipe is clean, no oil or water coming out of it.

I had the oil change done at a dealer. They have done quite a few changes for me with my Ram. It is possible that they didn’t fill it all the way .

There was no oil in the radiator, the tail pipe is clean and oil free. Looks like there is oil on the side of the engine. Engine is running good there is no knocking and not running rough.

Having trouble finding a blue tooth sensor for the I phone. All seem to be for the android phone.

The Jeep is running good. The Jeep has been sitting a lot lately because I had a fever and a cold so I self quarantined. Could sitting have caused a issue?

I’ll go to O’Reilleys on Monday and get a scanner. Going to need one anyways. I bought the Jeep used and it came with a junkyard motor with about 90,000 miles on it.

My XJ is a 2000. I didn’t even think about Amazon.

I tried that but they can’t do that anymore because of company changes due to the pandemic.

Ran to the store this morning and on my way home my check engine light came on. Jeep is running ok. Does anyone know of a trick to find the code? I don’t have a code sensor. At some point I know I’ll need to get one.
