I have the bigger tires for the same reason to get to some fishing sites. I don’t want 33” tires for looks. Right now running 32” tires and not sure if I regear to 4:56 it will be to much. It is my daily driver.
I was thinking 4:10/4:11 gears. Would like to put 33s on but would have to regear to 4:56. Would put lockers in at the same time. Unfortunately no good shops around to do custom axles if I could afford them. Jeep sees mostly backroads to NH and Vermont to go fishing. Nothing challenging. Some...
Thank you, The way the transmission shop was talking I only had a couple of months to do a gear swap. I’ll put in a good transmission cooler. Will work on changing gears unfortunately working on a fixed income and had some unexpected things happen.
just had my transmission rebuilt and the gentleman said I need to regear otherwise I’m going to burn the transmission out. It’s a 2000 Cherokee with the 4.0 and 3:55 gear ratio. Currently running 265/75/17 BFG Mud Terrains. Will I burn out my transmission?
Looking to put a sye on my 2000 Cherokee. It has a 4.5” lift on it. Someone suggested doing a tap and hack sye vs the sye where the transfer case is opened up. Not sure which one to go with. The Jeep is my daily driver.
Looking for the best place to buy a smittybuilt 9500 winch with the synthetic rope. Have no places near me that sell winches. Its going on a 2000Jeep Cherokee,
Thank you everyone, I’m going to keep my tire size the same. Jeep is going to get heavier when I add skid plates and a winch. Sleeping arrangements will be a cot in the back. Roof Rack will mostly hold lights. Jeep needs other things before I can think of re gearing.
