    Definitely essential reading! :)

James Baroud Isothermic Kit review - An Overland Bound exclusive

Off topic, but that is a handsome Rubi.

    Gold Panning in Central California?

Hot damn that actually sounds fun! …and potentially profitable *rubs hands together*

    Camp Photos!

I usually forget to take pictures when set up. Gotta remember to do that more. Utah:

    UFO

Are you sure it's not a part falling off the rig? hehe jk… *frantically checks NORAD and MUFON recent data archives* But seriously… what happened?

Who did you grow up with?

What, no one watched One Man and His Dog? lol Really though between Jacques Cousteau and National Geographic I was satisfied.

    What is everyone up to?

That sounds fun! I'd LOVE to do that trip. A little forward service planning is always helpful if you know you'll be near civilization at certain points or don't plan on changing your own fluids. I did an 8,000 and 6,000 mile trip last year and have at least an 11,000 mile trip planned this summer!

    Recovery Kits

Strictly recovery speaking here, not including any first aid or anything like that. I do NOT have a winch. Maybe someday who knows, I'm always adding and removing things from this list. Probably forgetting a few things but... Always in/on the truck: Hi-Lift X-Treme + Base + Rock Slider Adapter...

In search of: The Best Ground Tents

There are so many options out there it's really a matter of personal preference in so many categories. I use a Marmot Limestone 6 because I can sleep a few people and dogs very comfortably, stand up fully inside and it takes me about 15 minutes to fully set up. Couple wool blankets under your...

    DIY: Cooler

May be tough to keep stuff cold without the traditional double wall/foam structure. I feel like you might have more work to do to make it properly funcional as a cold storage unit than to just sell the Pelican and buy a new cooler. I mean…I'll take that thing off your hands if you want to get...

I enjoy Longboarding, Fishing, and Kayaking when im camping!

Safely? Hhmmm…about 10mph lol. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't just go for the max which is about 25-35mph. Gets a little squirrely :)

    Multi day, multi state trip...

Not too much fun stuff immediately around Jackson as far as I remember aside from beautiful vistas and small dirt roads. There are some fun trails around the west of Bear Lake between Beaver and Doubletop Mountain if I remember correctly…can't help with names and locations though as it's been a...

    Multi day, multi state trip...

Get yourself a BLM map if you don't already have one. Man, if I had 6-7 days from Las Vegas I would make a b-line for Canyonlands/Moab area and stay there the whole time…just too beautiful there and so much to do, but all those other places are awesome as well, especially Jackson. Sounds like a...

    Photography

I love taking photographs, it's just a fun thing to do when you're out exploring! I am very very amateur and pretty much only use digital tools these days though I did go to school in part for film photography. So many great pics in this thread. Gotta figure out that night photography stuff...

    Tents

Haha "Unisex" should work just fine for that anyway. Just my opinion, but I hope there is a time when we won't feel the need to label things in any way by sex. It discourages general interest, adventure and exploration. To imply that you're capable of using, wearing or experiencing something...

    RIDGE MONKEY TOASTER

I love these. I have a smaller one buried in the garage somewhere…I should go find it.
