    Tailgater Tire Table

Looks handy . Until some fat sits on it, folds it up like a Chinese lawn chair and stabs the wreckage through the sidewall of the tire 300 miles from the nearest tire store and the day after I put my only spare on.

    No more generators in California?

I would routinely disregard their laws that I find to be inconvenient, in much the same way they disregard laws they find inconvenient. I suppose though I could put a 8mm port in the housing of my Honda, put a "SOLAR" sticker on it and plug a solar panel into it so when Karen sees it she'll...

    Airing down tires (pressure valves)

I'll take a hard pass on a $200 set of valves that require drilling and tapping a secondary valve cut.

    Airing down tires (pressure valves)

Nothing airs down quicker than pulling the valve core. Or airs up either. ETA; well beaking the entire stem off does LOL

    Airing down tires (pressure valves)

Those look nice and well made. People dramatically overthink airing down though. A valve core wrench and a few spare cores in case you lose one gets it done. No fuss no mess , no Gucci-tax.

    Uberland's Second Build Thread - 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon(ish)

Tradesman Power Wagon is in fact a Power Wagon. It is also truer to the original Power Wagon in that it is a pure utility vehicle, not to disparage Power Wagon trim levels as they are also Power Wagon. I do think that FCA/ Stellantis/Whatever missed the mark with their 75th anniversary model...

    They are around! Delica!

Asks for more government, gets more government, unhappy with more government, inevitably asks for more government with the same outcome.

    Dedicated tablet for mapping

I admit to having a propensity to over think things. Then again..... It will be an android device unless someone presents an overwhelming argument to the contrary. I use Samsung phones, I'm predisposed to them and so likely the same with a tablet. I DON'T however necessarily need or want it to...

    Dedicated tablet for mapping

This is sort of where I find myself. An inreach or similar is pretty much a given as I want to be able to use it away from the vehicle (or in it) for emergency communications. So I find myself wondering if I even need to be concerned with a GPS chip in the tablet itself. I think the answer is...

    Dedicated tablet for mapping

Good information here, thanks. Dual XGPS150 I have some distrust in integrated GPS in phones and tablets, whether that distrust is valid or not. This looks like a viable back up, but I dont know that an Inreach wouldn't do the same thing and provide other features? In other words wouldn't the...

    Dedicated tablet for mapping

I see. I am specifically moe concerned with ending up on a closed/private/whatever road like I may have recently, so I'm concerned that paper won't reflect the same things that would be available on a MVUM

Is your Garmin connected to your tablet for location purposes or are you using the GPS in the tablet?
