Just finished up most of the door and draw fronts and will be heading for electric & plumbing next. Not really much for either, yet need to get done!
Big news is the Windows ar here on Tuesday! I'm stoked. Almost secondary is the 180° awning is here Friday! Next couple weeks are going to be busy!
Go south young man! Trails will be closed/gated in Jan/Feb up here in the Nor'east. Have to think most of the Mid Atlantic Backroad Discovery route would be as well.
Well for a second there I thought there may only be couple of us that actually turn our refrigerator off when not in use. Even in the house I turn off items that are not in use, some I unplug. I see no difference with the frig. Why run it unless you are using it! I can see periodic maintenance...
Haven't completed hatches due to rain, so working on other things!
Good day today even if threatening to rain.. Sanded out the back (even though I still have a hatch to complete) and first coat of final paint on both sides and most of the back.
I've build the rear bed and storage base and...
Been a while since I updated.
That side is done, the roof is sealed and power vent installed. Doing a bit of faring as I proceed. Been concentrating on the back wall as it has several POI's to deal with.
That leads me to this question for ya's. Here's what I think I'm doing with the hatch...
Driver training. You can get out there and play in almost anything 'if' you have a clue what you are doing and the 'knowledge' of what not-to-do. Then I go armor ! Learn how & protect what you have. MHO
If you're hoping to boondock and beach play.. not much (if any) to be found. If looking for commercial camping besides Acadia, I have two I like that have a beach and can be fished from shore or dock (boat launch also). Both are tough to get into 'in-season'. So yes, they're popular.
First one...
I got it, the other dude seemed not to. Actually your post didn't link for me either.. I had to search outside.. as I think he did.. Sorry, just trying to help out here..
My first thought was too tall and how to stow, but it collapses! That's a plus!
We've become used to our cassette toilet as it's low profile and easy to pul out and use. Push comes to shove, it's contains a few nights of pee. We Wag-Bag even in the cassette for poo. So for us, as we do it...
Another milestone passed, I have my door cut & fitted! Now to infill and final install.
Dis-assembly, cutting re-assembly was much easier than I thought! So happy I found this door!!
More details in the Build Journal
Began final resining of panels in place today! Whoa! The plywood strips you see I'm using as clamps..
Putting full attention to the nose so I can get the cabin back on the truck! Thinking ~ Thursday... with the nose painted! So much has be done, but it's not noticeable. Details in the build...
No picture and haven't even updated the site. Seems I took more off today then added to...
Just to say, resining sections/panels has started! Schedule was to be at this point by Monday! Good update coming..
When he went the TLH wasn't fully paved, yet as he says, the gravel was fine. I saw his vid's and found most of his stops. I also will go down Rt138 in Quebec to reach the opposite end of that highway. Now that's a route I do wish Quebec would connect! To drive that entire coastline.. Ya Baby! I...
As most folks I spoken to they speak of driving up to Cartwright. Me, just not feeling it. Now I have found another that does spike my interest..
Has anyone been to the Lobstick Structure? Can't break into 54°N there but a short drive you can hit 53.9°N. That has my interest as it would be...
What are your tentative dates? If you go early month, you're ahead me. We're hoping for 3rd week July. All is predicated on how much I have completed with my new build.. I figure I have 7 weeks to complete and go..
