That shot if Branson was shear luck. Only night shot I’ve ever gotten to come out good. Taken handheld canon t6i with 18-55 lense while moving.. luck is all that was. Lol
we want to focus on getting our night photography better too, but it’s more complicated than anything else I’ve shot. Lol
the small section that we did awhile back was more fun than we expected. There was quite a bit of stuff to see along the way (ft washita/Denton dam/texoma/carpenters bluff bridge/multiple other old bridges) that made our section from sulphur to Boswell take about 7 hours. We also stop for...
It’s the Oklahoma Adventure Trail. From what I’ve found about it, it was originally routed/developed by some adventure bike riders on another forum. I got the .gpx files for it and have it routed in gaia(navigation app if not familiar).
there are some threads about it on here in various...
That’s good to know. I have vacation scheduled in May. Looking like we are camping/venturing along the OAT. Just have to find open locations to camp along it. Lol
the only one you list I have personal experience with is the ridge grappler, they were good on my duramax i had. I never took it off road though, it was my trailer puller/long trip truck. Though, I did prefer the terra grappler to them for my uses.
From my experience, unless you’re going to...
Welcome from Ada!
there are a few of us around here, hopefully get a meetup scheduled for everyone sometime soon. I was really looking forward to getting out, then everything started closing hahahaha
I agree on MacBook being best option. That’s why I’m waiting until I can get what I want, even if it is 3k. Lol.
I hate the editing so far too. The audio really gets me, trying to find copyright free music is a pain. But no music is terribly boring... so I search. lol
It is really easy to forget things that happen along the trips. Or in my case, not be able to recall where you saw something, just that you saw it. Which is hard to recall using still images, since they only show that single frame. We have our photos framed at the house, but many times you only...
That’s sort of what we are thinking about doing at this point. Make a video to recall the trips later, it seems like a good way to look back on the trip
We have been contemplating doing videos to go along with our trips. We have just taken stills for years now, but kind of want more. We are in the try it and decide stages.
I was curious if others do the same? If so, any advice or tips are greatly appreciated. I put this together Sunday after...
Seeing these treks makes me miss ours! We love the 4Runner, but for daily use, the subie was the way to go imho. We will own another one day.
We never did anything to ours, but it went everywhere I pointed it...
I am curious of this as well. I looked at what tagged on my .gpx and found 3 crossings that I can only imagine are at or near impassable levels right now.
when you decide to go run it, let me know. If it’s a weekend, we may try to meet up.
We did a very similar trip a few weeks ago. Made me excited to do more of it. I was surprised how much there was to see along it, the old bridges, plus taking us around texoma was a nice day drive
i have the cobra 75 as well. I’ve used cb’s from the cheap $40 radios, to a tuned up uniden. For me, they mostly do the same things. I went with the small footprint of the cobra 75 to save space. It works well.
