    4runner larger tires problem

This is 100% true. My spare (Firestone destination m/t) rubs. My falken m/t tires do not. But all are size 285/70/17

    4runner larger tires problem

My personal thoughts are that few people actually have the same combination of wheel/tire/lift so they all seem different. I have also seen on other vehicles that we have lifted at work, where one clears, the next one doesn’t. So idk. Makes no sense sometimes. Lol

    4runner larger tires problem

Most people that I have seen discussing the body mount chop are running wider/different offset rims. When they stick out further, you gain room on the frame/UCA but at the cost of the turning angle moving outward. Which makes it hit in other areas. I like stock rims for my toys. They always...

    4runner larger tires problem

I found multiple companies that made arms, most seemed to have varied reviews. Some require aftermarket wheels, which may or may not help the situation. I was looking at the total chaos higher level arms to be able to add some more alignment adjustability too. Since they use threaded heim...

    4runner larger tires problem

I found this chart very helpful when deciding too https://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/156378-going-bigger-5th-gen-tire-fitment-guide.html One thing to be cautious of when changing wheel offset, at least I know on the 5th gen, not certain in 4th gen. Once you start moving the offset...

    4runner larger tires problem

I have the same 285/70/17 on our 5th gen with the bilstien shock lift. I found conflicted reviews of whether they would rub or not, what I ended up doing was using my stock trd(not trd pro) wheels, and falken m/t’s. As they are narrower than other tires in the same size and mine don’t rub...

    12v Cooler Question?

I have a cheap Coleman 12v cooler, and it’s the same as above. You have to put the ice in a sealed container or it will damage the cooler. We don’t use it a lot for that reason, as I’m not setup to leave it running constantly either.

    GAIA Zoom Meeting

I’m not nearly familiar enough to teach it, but I found some YouTube videos that helped a lot. And there’s the ask about Gaia gps thread on here that has a lot of info too.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I have most of it vinyl wrapped(all I like is roof/hatch/rear quarter panels). So far it’s holding up well against them! Took it through some brush a few weeks ago and you can’t even tell it!

    Need help choosing a winch.

I had a smittybuilt on a truck years ago, as well as an off brand on another(can’t recall brand). Both worked well. I now have a warn on the 4Runner, went that way mostly based on fitment and trust in the brand overall. As it’s hidden behind my bumper and I didn’t want to have to mess with it...

    OAT trips

That’s my fear on camping as well. Thanks for the tip on those 2, they were actually 2 options I was hoping may be open. Yet, I was afraid they wouldn’t as you verified. from what I see on Gaia that does appear to be public land, as it’s in the Altus-Lugert wildlife management area. The area...
