The original idea was a competent vehicle for beaches/camping, that could haul the people, the gear and the good times. After Irma, I had different ideas and moved towards prepping for disaster readiness and getting my family safe.

I live in central Florida. We have a block house built after the newer hurricane codes came to. So, pretty solid, unless something comes through the roof...

I keep a .22 target pistol loaded with snake shot for when working in the wetland/woodland section of the property (fence repairs, etc). Only used it once on a moccasin that was damn near under my foot before I noticed. Would rather not shoot, but was glad I had it then. Worked well

Sourdough biscuits are my next test, after reading (and re-reading) Richard Proenneke Alone in the Wilderness. With a healthy starter (flour, water, yeast) you can...
Lanlubber: be aware of the amout of bleach you use. 1-2 tablespoon(s) per gallon is standard to sanitize as per food service HACCP programs. As far as application time goes: soaked for 30 minutes, rinsed well with fresh water then allowed to air dry.
Don't drink the bleachy water friend!
