I for one welcome our trendy over(land)lords.
Here's how I see it. If you are even pretending to go adventuring, you're gonna want to fit in. That said, no one is going to want to piss off he people already out there exploring, and people are (hopefully) going to respect he areas we all use to...
Thanks for this video. I benefitted from some of them part numbers, as this also translates to my first gen taco! Nice walk through as well.

The wifi only iPads will need an auxiliary Bluetooth GPS receiver. I am running that setup using an iPad mini, along with a Bad Elf GPS Pro. It works pretty well, accuracy is good for my needs, and I've yet to run into any negative aspects.

My preference:
1. Recovery gear (and knowledge on how to use it)
2. Compressor (especially if you're going out alone)
3. A comfortable means to sleep. Doesn't matter if you're in a RTT, ground tent, or your truck's bed. Padding & warmth go a long way.

Medium success. Cold night...
Has anyone got a recommendation for a fail-safe hitch pin?
I have front and rear receivers, and picked up a winch on a cradle recently. I don't want to find myself the subject in one of those sheared hitch pin horror stories I hear about every so often (though, I've never seen photos).
Can...

Amazon has some really well reviewed recovery gear in the $20 range. I've seen plenty of D-shackles, a Tree Saver, and fuel siphons with 4.5+ stars.
Maybe I'll make a list from some stuff I've found and share the link...

I found that the discontinued Platinum line was made by Odyssey, but have yet to find out for certain who is making the Gold Advance line.
