    Has Overlanding Become Trendy?

I for one welcome our trendy over(land)lords. Here's how I see it. If you are even pretending to go adventuring, you're gonna want to fit in. That said, no one is going to want to piss off he people already out there exploring, and people are (hopefully) going to respect he areas we all use to...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Supporter + subscription (not really a purchase, more an investment in OB) and 100 handout cards (my design)! -CP TACO OB #2376

    GPS/Tablet

The wifi only iPads will need an auxiliary Bluetooth GPS receiver. I am running that setup using an iPad mini, along with a Bad Elf GPS Pro. It works pretty well, accuracy is good for my needs, and I've yet to run into any negative aspects. -CP TACO OB #2376

Top Three MVE (Most Valuable Equipment)

My preference: 1. Recovery gear (and knowledge on how to use it) 2. Compressor (especially if you're going out alone) 3. A comfortable means to sleep. Doesn't matter if you're in a RTT, ground tent, or your truck's bed. Padding & warmth go a long way. -CP TACO OB #2376

    Lets see your TARPS

A few months before I got my Bestop, I played around with different methods of putting this old Sportsman's Guide - Guide Gear Tarp over the bed of my Taco. I had some spare (photography) backdrop hanging hardware, and attempted to build a structure from it. Medium success. Cold night...

    5/8" Hitch pins

Has anyone got a recommendation for a fail-safe hitch pin? I have front and rear receivers, and picked up a winch on a cradle recently. I don't want to find myself the subject in one of those sheared hitch pin horror stories I hear about every so often (though, I've never seen photos). Can...

    Holiday Gift Idea thread.

Amazon has some really well reviewed recovery gear in the $20 range. I've seen plenty of D-shackles, a Tree Saver, and fuel siphons with 4.5+ stars. Maybe I'll make a list from some stuff I've found and share the link... *TO AMAZON!!* -CP TACO OB #2376
