I'm sure we all have to deal with this and I'm about out of ideas so I thought I'd start a thread and get some more input. My wife's family insists on exchanging names for Christmas every year. We've got a price range of $20-30USD and the last few years I've struggled to put out ideas for myself. I'm not rich by any means but as an adult, a $30 purchase isn't usually anything to spend a lot of time thinking about so I have very few wants in that price range. Along those lines, I've decided to put together an Amazon list specifically for items like this I can share with my wife so I always have ideas.

So far I've added a Fisher Trekker Space Pen. I've wanted a nice outdoor/EDC/SHTF/ect pen to carry that isn't likely to leak in my pocket like my G2 pens do.

Please chime in with other suggestions along the outdoors/overland/camping/hiking line in the $20-30USD range and maybe we can all help each other!

A good waterproof paper notebook to go with that fancy pen. You can get a pretty nice LED flashlight in that price range too.

@TerryD Try The Home Depot on Black Friday or after. You can pick up knives, flashlights, gloves, tools and a lot of other good stuff at a great price. The best part, is that the store isn't that busy on Black Friday compared to other stores.

Thanks for the input, but I'm not looking to buy things FOR people. I have nice knives, flashlights, ect and that's the issue. I'm looking for things to ASK for, for myself. Again, I have nice stuff, so asking for a $20 knife I'll never use doesn't make much sense. I was hoping for ideas for little things that everyone has with them when offroading or camping that fit this price range that would improve my gear and give me something to ask for that I might want, rather than continuing to get DVD's of TV shows and gift cards.

Good suggestion, I actually have a Rite in the Rain notebook I carry most days along with a handkerchief in my back pocket.

Amazon has some really well reviewed recovery gear in the $20 range. I've seen plenty of D-shackles, a Tree Saver, and fuel siphons with 4.5+ stars.

Maybe I'll make a list from some stuff I've found and share the link...

*TO AMAZON!!*
