Who here is also exploring in a small Jeep? Cherokee, Compass, Renegade? Post photos, lets see them.

If I do the stu's I would not do the daystar. I am not looking for max lift, just a bit more to stop dragin belly pans. and more for the weight capacity. The RC's are stiffer than stock too, but I like it.

They feel better than stockers? My wife and I were talking and we are going to forgo the daystars and moogs and go with the Murchinsons for the extra payload before squatting. With our gear, the trailer and us in the pat, the stiffer springs will be welcome.

Why does every winch bumper for new trucks look like optimus prime's helmet?

I would tend to agree with you, but you would think ARB could do it since they make them for lesser models. There are millions of modified F150s out there.

Why does every winch bumper for new trucks look like optimus prime's helmet?

I have been shopping for a winch bumper that looks like this, for our 2015 F150 crew.... But all I can find is crap that looks like this.... Anyone know of anything like the ARB for a 2015 F150 or am I having to have it custom built?

    Overlanding "Fulltime"???

We would LOVE to do the full time thing. What does everyone do for money? If we could get online work somehow were we were just earning as we go, I would go get a rig and just leave. I am thinking of a U Joint 32ft motorhome. Poor mans earthroamer. We still need some extra space so a...

I think I am getting my money back for the lift. It just clunks so bad, even with new struts installed again. It's brutal. I am going to switch to Moog springs, Bilstien shocks and daystar 1.5" lift. It's just sad because everything else about the RC lift is good, ride quality and handling is...

    What to do first?

Falken wildpeak AT3W. I have them on our patriot (same size as your forrester.) and they are AWESOME for any condition. Have been driving them in deep snow, etc and they just eat it up with stability to boot. Great forrester btw, have a look at LP adventure for some awesome parts.

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

I had MT's on my F150 one time. Even had them pinned for studs. I was going to the airport to bring the ex bastard-in-law to get his flight, in a big snowstorm and the truck looped around on us so fast. You had no time to react. The next morning i had those off the truck, dedicated winter...

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

I have today. My driveway was about 8 inches of wet packed now...they just ripped through it like it was nothing. Just had to turn off the traction control and lock in 4wd.

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

I need to get a good compressor before I do that. I run blacktop mostly as it's our daily driver.

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

I was a faithful KO2 user for a while, but the AT3W are a much better version. I bought a set of cheap MT tires for my last JKU and they were crap. I should have just had the falkens then. They are awesome.

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

So, since we finally got our patriot rebuilt and fully restored to proper driving condition, including our new Falken AT3W tires, we have been enjoying driving the rig again. Besides a nasty clunk in the suspension the Jeep has been exceeding all our expectations. Fast forward to this morning...

We just contacted them to make our blackout/topo hood graphic for the patriot. I hope they can do it for us!

    Who's your Trail Buddy?

My wife and our son are my two trail buddies. Our Husky is starting to get trained for leash and travel now. She's been a great girl to Colin, but she needs some formal training for leash and behavior issues around others, mainly jumping up for kisses..ha ha. But she is such a great dog...

The Autism Family Travels updated vehicle build. Take two! 2015 Jeep Patriot altitude.

Did it give a good clunk when at full droop? We redid all our suspension besides the arms going from the rear doors to the rear control arms this year, everything is all new and nice. I think that's part of Patriot life, not just lifted pat life.

The Autism Family Travels updated vehicle build. Take two! 2015 Jeep Patriot altitude.

Got about 1500kms on the new front end now, I am not sure if it's just me, the weather, or something else, but the clunk is getting quieter. DUNNO. Could be all in my head. Never had a chance to get on the ground and look at it yet as I have been busy with work etc. This weekend coming up I...

The Smallest Overland Rigs? Could be!

any updates on this? Oh, bring lots of wrenches. But, they are going to be a hoot to ride, but uncomfortable as well! ha ha. This reminds me of dirt everyday when Fred and Dave did the overland on little coleman cheap motorcycle things.
