Selling our A.R.E. bed cap (topper) which has exoskeleton system (rated at 550lbs) with two load bars. Purchased new in 2017 for our 2017 Toyota Tacoma (3rd gen) color matched cement. Price is $1500 or best offer. Also selling the Eezi-Awn rooftop tent which is a Series 3, 1600 for $1000.00 or...
Greetings! I'm Orion and have only lived here in the Fort since June after moving up from the Springs (were only there for 9-months... wife hated it). Before that we were in Annapolis, MD but originally from Northern MN. The current weather is all too familiar but I'm still able to cope... just...
MOAK,
I’m working on a route for PA trip in September. I typically build these on my own as it’s half the adventure dealing with closed or impassible trails, however, would you have recommended routes you’d be willing to share. Trying to find roads and trails with some challenge to the rig...
Just checked some old e-mails and they called it an "HD skeletal system" which was separate from the "rack".... at least, they were quoted separately. The rack definitely attaches to the skeletal frame.
It was ordered that way so yes, believe it is ARE but I may be remembering incorrectly. I had the sense that it was simply an option just like the other stuff like the windoors, sliding front window, paint matching, etc. I'm happy to look into it though.
Our ARE topper was installed with an exo-skeleton that takes the weight of a 150lb RTT. The topper itself does not support the cargo weight. I like the system a lot and even though I lose a little bit of space with it, the exo skeleton's extruded bars offer plenty of attachment points.
Welcome to the OB team Brian... you already know this due to lurking... but there are a lot of great folks on here. BTW, height of rigs is a big deal around this area for parking even for mine and it's not too far from stock. I have to remind my wife every time she is downtown Annapolis bound...
Hello,
It's looking like I'll be attending... some questions: Anyone bringing significant others and/or dogs? Also, if I'm understanding correctly, rally point/time is Harrisonburg/7:00pm and instead of staying in that area, we'd press on for another 3-hours, getting us to the first camping...
Any thoughts on combining types of boards for a more comprehensive recovery arsenal? We'll have Traction Jacks for Newfoundland trip but looking at adding another board type like Max-something... who knows but point is, it might be cool to have a few different pairs for different scenarios.
Thanks for posting the pics Baja... I had ordered the Prinsu Cabrac a few weeks back... saw your pics so it's great to see it on a rig similar to mine. I had nearly pulled the trigger on a Warrior roof rack... they look good but I think the Cabrac look like it was designed for our Tacomas... my...
Update: I've decided to not simply bolt-down the sheet to the bed. Instead I'm going to use square steel tubing to build a frame and use welded on tabs to secure the frame to the bed with the bed bolts. That way, I can have options for bolting different drawer configurations to that frame...
I received the set of TractionJacks yesterday along with the fold-up shovel. Quick turnaround on the order and both the boards and the shovel seem very well built. I was surprised by the beefiness of the boards... a good since I'll be using them as a jack base and for leveling our rig on...
I just received one like this. It's an Eccotemp like some have mentioned... runs on propane. I'm currently working through how I want to set it up but I think I'll just keep it in a plastic container with the hoses and hang it off the truck's rack. I'll test it out in the next month and post...
