I have been wanting to see those Touareg on the trail for a while. They should do pretty good I would think. Don't they have pneumatic suspension? Before I got my GX a lift kit, I adjusted the ride height sensor to get a lift.

I went up Hurricane Creek this weekend. Open all the way through to Max Patch Road. You can see several areas were some people have gone OFF the trail, I am sure I don't have to say this in this group but please "stay on the trail".

I am WNC and anything in VA could be of interest... Watching for ideas.

Welcome to you Both, from WNC. Uwharrie can be a lot of fun. It seems every time I go there it rains all weekend, which makes it more fun.

All the more reason to 'Tread Lightly'. It was a decent trail back in the day. The last time I went through it, so many areas had been 'cut-up' by what I would call 'vandals' trespassing off-trail trying to get more challenging hill climb and rock crawling.

Hurricane Creek only takes a few hours to run if you take it slow... the one camping spot I know of is right on the trail next to a creek. Visit Max Patch while you are there awesome views. When are you guys going?
