I can post process most advantages of a view camera into my digital images such as the lense board rise but it it hard to do the tilt to control the plane of focus. New digitals tend to allow you a greater depth of field, but in some instances I want less and to tilt the plane for effect.
I still have a Toyo 4x5 Field with several SuperAngulon lenses. It just costs so much to use it. I am running a 25mpix Nikon and looking to upgrade to a 50mpix soon.
I was a professional photographer for years. I loved my RB67's. I had the 37,50,90,127,180,250, and 360. I was young and backpacked with a body, 4 lenses, and 4 backs. I have boxes of negs. I still wish I had it back and could get the processing done easily. Even the pro labs around have...
I enjoyed your writeup. Being an Electrical Engineer for over 50 years it never ceases to amaze me the old wive's tales I hear about auto wiring.
First off, everything is not a ground problem. ha ha
Second, if a fuse blows, there is a 99% or greater chance it was not the fuse. Blindly...
If it is my ass hanging off of a cliff and my life on the line with it, I am damned sure going to do my own inspections and welding. I don't even trust my airplane mechanic.
Been in the woods of the Rockies for 60 years. Never had an issue with a bear, never carried spray. I have at times carried a gun, but only when hunting.
I run a 20# on my teardrop. Cheap and available everywhere, even exchange since fewer places will refill these days. I have it hooked to my stove with an outlet for my portable grill. I even plan to use it for a propane fire ring since fire restrictions are getting so prevalent. A fire ring...
I've had my rig almost 25 years and put 700k on the title. I keep it in tip top shape and routinely hook it up on short notice and drive 1000+ miles. Yes, things wear out, but with preventive maintenance, not necessarily waiting for something to leave you stranded, goes a long way.
How many days you figure? Check in when you hit AZ. I am in Prescott, about 90 miles north of Phoenix, in the mountains at 5400 ft. Stop by and I can cook some BBQ.

Thanks, it takes a lot of work to keep a 37 year old vehicle looking nice. There is absolutely zero rust. The is probably less than 4 ounces of skim coat filler on it. I have over 700k on the clock. I have over 200k on the stroker. The interior looks as good as the exterior.
I do all my own body and paint work I did 5 coats of clear but every couple of years I wet sand it down, mask it off and re do the clear coat before I get down into the paint.
