BBQ with freaks n geeks. (Version III) - 11/03/2018

Having a BBQ with a bunch of locals. Most of the people coming build things from electronics to race cars to boats and more. I figured the people building overland vehicles would be a good mix in. Sadly, I thought of this at mostly the last minute. So if you are good at curve balls, show up...

Not a build as much as a resurrection?

That was pretty close to what I was thinking. This guy was doing this on a Saturday afternoon. I got the feeling that he saw it as "light entertainment". -jim lee

Not a build as much as a resurrection?

Little teaser. Took the machine to a local professional. I needed the rot holes in the side of the body fixed. The plan was to chop out the section with the rot and replace it with a new bit of steel. We found the rot went further than we'd realized and my donor piece of body side was about 1/3...

    Map+dead reckoning old school nav

Went for a trip on a boat that had tracking GPS map thing on a TV screen. Visited all sorts of cool places and islands. All I remember of that trip was a GPS TV screen. I found the same thing over-landing. If I use the GPS on my phone, I never learn and don't get to see very much of the area. I...

A couple days ago, pulling body panels off my Carryall, I found a couple books inside/between the body panels. Well when I say books I found two book bindings, about two inches of pages and the rest was chewed into rats' nests. Here's one.. First line I saw. Perry Mason. I figured out the...
