    Minimum Mechanical Skill

Get an old beater car/jeep/truck you don't need to rely on, drive it as much as possible and keep it alive for a year or so. You'll learn.. -jim lee

    A "cooler" idea.

I don't really want to buy an electric cooler. But I have issues with everything being drown in yuch by the third day in my ice chest. The problem with the ice chest is that you need to keep "going into town" to get ice for it. If I use milk jugs full of frozen water, I solve the drowning issue...

    Camp cookware pots/pans

One biggish cast iron fry pan and a coffee pot. Along with a few telescopic hot dog roasting forks. Won't pass for rental but works for us. (So far) -jim lee

The random pix in the top left corner.

This is not a request for anything. I just wanted to tell them that put this together, I think the picture links in the top left corner of the window are a pretty cool idea. I find myself noticing them now and again, clicking and going down different rabbit holes where they lead. Its been fun...

    Baker River road? NW Washington

I 'm seeing that if you cross the baker lake dam you can get on Baker river road. The far end of this road begins in the town of Concrete. Is anyone familiar with this road? On the google map it shows that there is a break in the middle. I was wondering what the break was? It looks like it may...

NW Washington Meetup - 22 AUG 2018 - Alger, WA?

Wait a minute.. I see it on the side bar, but there's actually no rally point set up. I guess I don't now how this stuff is hooked together. So we're back to setting up a rally point to get it on the member's map. And into the list of rally points. -jim lee

NW Washington Meetup - 22 AUG 2018 - Alger, WA?

You know, maybe you could use this as a good reason to set up your first rally point.? Rally points show up on the side bar and the member's map, then people lookin' for something local to do might see it. -jim lee

Not a build as much as a resurrection?

In the poor thing's defense. Its 76 years old. When I got it, it looked like it had been sitting dead, worn out and forgotten since around 1973. Another bit is that most of the "black art" to keeping these things running has been lost. Sure you can ask online, but you will begin to notice there...

Maybe there's just too many members for the map? Is there an upper limit set by the server? -jim lee

Not a build as much as a resurrection?

Battle of wits Wednesday, August 8, 2018 We brought the truck home and the first order of business, after a lot of napping, was to deal with the failed differential. What went wrong? Where can I get a replacement? Pulled out the broken differential. Sure enough the pinion was locked...
