Welcome! One thing I loved about being in the military is being able to move around every few years. In my case from coast to coast and exploring the country in between. I hope to get back to it when I retire, this desk ball and chain sucks a bit. Enjoy!

Who is a Vet, Active or First Responder?

10 years in the Navy, mostly as a Corpsman. Battleship, destroyer, amphibs, hospitals. 30+ fire and EMS. Finally let my Paramedic go, since I'm not doing any patient care any more, just management and disaster training.

    Laundry on the road

We also tend to plan a stay at a hotel or formal campground (KOA) at points through trips, often places that a larger city/attraction is enroute. This provides opportunities for laundry and such. Following @Hourless Life , Brittany showed their use of the Scrubba laundry bag and Sea to Summit...

Arrived and set up. So far it's first come, first pick of space. I've got a corner lot with a view.

US East Meet and greet @ Expo East

As the Expo workers park/camp each as they arrive, "no saving spaces", it's hard to camp together unless a group arrives together. There is a group in one of these discussions planning to arrive Thursday night and roll in together Friday morning in order to camp together. I bought the overland...

Welcome Nicklas! I'm not familiar with the area, so no comment on that. Awesome that you are doing it tied to reconnecting with service buddies. OORAH! As for "not a real rig", it is what you make of it, no need for the mega (and expensive) rigs. Just have fun and be safe. Mike

US East Meet and greet @ Expo East

We'll probably be there mid-day ish on Thursday. Settle in, recon, relax. Feel free to say hi. Green jeep, tan/orange ground tent. For everyone's FYI - the forecasts for the weekend are indicating cold, possibly the season's first hard frost while we're there. Nice, but be prepared and safe.

Hi Amanda. Pennsylvania is a big state! If you're traveling down I-81, there isn't a whole lot near the highway. At least in the south end of the state. A bit north/northwest of Harrisburg is Bald Eagle State Forest, which has quite a bit. Take a look through...
