Had an awesome weekend at Overland Expo West. It will be a yearly excursion for me moving forward.

San Diego Trail Junkies Caravan, we will be starting 9/23 7am departure from Starbucks in Clairemont and be at the Blythe Starbucks (840 E Hobsonway) around 11:15 - Noon for lunch and to meetup with other rigs from LA area. Our group Comms will be GMRS 5. Detail schedule attached.

Getting ready to head to Overland West via San Diego. Caravan start time is 8am Thursday 9/23 at Startbucks 7035 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.

Installed the ARE HD cap with backbone system. Allows up to 550lbs. Perfect for RTT. Here is a photos for those that wanted to have some better views of the ARE cap. Love the lines of this cap.

I like them both for different reasons. The grand is extremely capable and has been a build over many years. The gladiator is new so it’s fun also, but I’m still determining it’s full capability. It’s like child you love them both, but they are different.

Update. The caravan has 15 vehicles confirmed and 40 interested. Could be a larger caravan. Let me know if you would like to join. Should be fun.

Our route is a one day event. We leave the morning of the 23rd and arrive in the evening. Hope to see you at the event.

Hello Tony here. I love trail day runs, camping, overlanding, and leading monthly meets with other 4x4 off-roaders. I have 2 Jeeps. 1 is a heavily modified 2002 Grand Cherokee for overlanding and the second is a 2021 gladiator Rubicon, which I am currently modifying for overlanding. Glad to be here.

Looking forward to Overland Expo West at the end of Sept. should be a great time.
