    Unibody vs Body-on-Frame for Overlanding

What matters is that it fits the budget and needs for you. Choose a model that has aftermarket offerings for whatever future upgrades you may need, unless you are the DIY kind! I had a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500, QCLB 4x4, Cummins. I miss the old girl, but I am very happy with my FZJ80 now!

    4runner cargo sleeping platform/storage

One of the guys on Ih8mud did a low budget sleeping platform similar to yours, but instead of using the pipes to hold it up he just slid some totes, 4 large ones under the plywood. So this way the wood is supported for sleeping but you have compartmentalized storage. I think your design is...

    Let's air it out

I have entirely too many projects for my landcruiser! Have to do some electrical work before I wire this in. By going with bigger compressors, you get more output, but you gotta spend more to make it happen.

    Must have gear

Basic tools(wrenches and sockets, some pliers), knife, maybe something to patch radiator hoses. Or spare hoses and belts. Its a bit different for certain vehicles since some have known failure points, others just have random things go wrong. Good wheels chocks, a working Jack. A decent hammer!

DIY Roof Top Tent using 80/20

Also check www.tnutz.com. they have some of the extrusions and accessories there too. Thats where I got the 1x2 pieces for my roof rack. At the 4x4 expo in Pomona a few months ago there was a company there with a 80/20 style tent. I forget the name.

    Dual Battery System

http://www.george4wd.taskled.com/auxbat.html Over on Ih8mud George TLC linked this from his website. This is a Kiss setup, and he explains the overall layout. It is specific to the 80 series landcruiser, but if you understand a bit of the wiring mayne it will help you out. I am actually about to...

    Let's air it out

Depending on the vehicle you have it is possible to convert a york compressor for OBA but still retain factory A/C. Obviously the york takes up room in the engine bay, and the brackets have to be made, but certain models will have these items available, like for my FZJ80 Landcruiser. But I went...

    Camp Stove

Its robust and simple! Fully rebuildable. No fancy electric start, just two burners, two control valves, nice and compact. 12"x18"x3.5" In the latest 4xOverland video on youtube, ASPW shows his for a moment on his troopy. They also make a newer grille design than what I have. It basically adds...
