    C rated vs E rated

Like said earlier, a higher rated tire doesn't mean it is more resistant to puncture.

    C rated vs E rated

Running a higher load rated tire on a really light vehicle is like running premium gas in an engine designed for 87 octane. You can, but it isn't really doing anything. Most E tires have a load index of 121, meaning they can carry over 3200 lbs per tire. My Mitsubishi has a curb weight right...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Go to your closest Mopar shop and get a tube of 3-bond. It is by far the best engine sealant i have ever used. Hondabond a close second.

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Since you are already so close why don't you reseal the timing cover? The upper o-ring is the one that likes to leak and cause these things to overheat.

Vehicle maintenance - Inspection and Tools

For the love of God do not use "safe for any color" antifreeze from the parts stores! I have replaced countless heater cores and radiators because people kept adding that instead of fixing the leak.

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

One thing I like about my Austrian plastic fantastic is how common they are. And the fact that with a mag extension it has a capacity of 22+1.

Tents and why you purchase them?

As long as you don't mind eating a ton of food, I'm down.

Put a good set of a/t's on there and those things are super capable. The traction control does just that, controls traction in adverse conditions and situations.

    Overlanding with "stock" 4X4

Found a video from a while back. I have made a few modifications since shooting this but you get the idea. First thing to point out that most dont realize is I have the ammo can upside down.

Help me place this old Boy Scout mess kit

I have had this kit for years and use it often. Got it from an estate sale. The dimensions are almost identical to the flimsy aluminum ones you see today. The skillet is carbon steel. The handle is mild steel. The pot, lid, plate, and cup are tin. I use the magnet to keep it from rattling when...

    Uuni Portable Pizza Oven

The best pizza ovens cook from the bottom up, so a grill makes perfect sense. Weber kettles are under rated. I use mine all the time from making paella to smoking a pork shoulder for 12 hours.

Tents and why you purchase them?

90 miles north. A stones throw from Canada.
