    Codebeagle's Family Adventure Trailer

Thank you! The trailer is 5’ wide by 8’ long, so it’s a little tight for me to sleep cross ways, but easy for the kids. I bought it for $700 from a family member back in 2014, I think. Not sure on the weight but my estimate is somewhere around #1500-1800 loaded up.

Camping with known Medical Conditions how do you prevent becoming a casualty, Diabetes, Sleep Apnea and Cholesterol

Looks like there's a good chance an adapter with the clips already exists, maybe something like this: https://www.bestcpapprice.com/Philips-Respironics-DreamStation-Shielded-DC-Cord-System_p_1531.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy9b7hZbF4wIVtP_jBx1ebgA5EAkYBSABEgLgpvD_BwE

Camping with known Medical Conditions how do you prevent becoming a casualty, Diabetes, Sleep Apnea and Cholesterol

I’m able to control my diabetes and blood pressure through diet and meds, so I just plan the right meals and snacks and preload a daily med case with what I need, like Jim mentioned. I take my CPAP and run it off a deep cycle marine battery using a 12v DC adapter from ResMed. I get 4 nights on...

    Trophies, Badges, and Ranks!

In your profile under badges, select the set you are working on (ambassador, I think) and next to the badges are yellow buttons labeled “request validation”. Click that and write in some details and hit send, then an staff member will approve it.

How has Overlanding made you a better person?

Overlanding has taught me a lot about being self-reliant, having greater respect for the natural resources around us, and having enough humility to work in teams. I grew up as a Boy Scout and found that overlanding teaches a lot of the same things, like being prepared, being thrifty, and...

    Codebeagle's Family Adventure Trailer

Greetings Overland Bounders! I'd like to introduce to you the crown jewel of my setup: the low-budget, multi-use utility adventure trailer. I bought this 5' x 8' enclosed utility trailer for $500 from my parents who had it custom built back in 2000. It has 50/50 barn-style rear doors, a...

Gas Lantern or Battery powered Lantern?

The Goal Zero Lighthouse Mini is great. Plenty of light and the magnetic bottom is awesome with our trailer. I recommend it to friends and family all the time.

Your Very First Off Road Experience

My first off road experience was when my dad let me drive our 1988 suburban on a fathers and Sons outing when I had my learner’s permit. We rode along the roads in the desert west of Utah Valley and I was hooked.

    Overlanding with 2 adults + 2 Kids (age 9 and 6) setups

2 adults and 2 kids here. I pull a trailer with a little platform bed that we sleep on bunk style. I made it from PVC so I can remove it when I need to and it’s really light weight. I personally like sleeping in tents because it feels more like being outdoors, so We will use a ground tent sometimes.

WHY did you choose YOUR rig?!

I chose my 3rd gen 4Runner while I was single finishing college. I wanted a capable stock 4x4 that was small enough to squeeze on smaller trails, but big enough to carry gear. I needed to tow a small trailer from time-to-time and planned to get married and have a family in the future, so it had...

Tacomas, 4 Runners and Car Seats

3rd gen 4Runner here. My wife and I have tried a few arrangements, but settled on having backwards facing seats on the passenger side and forward facing on driver side. We currently have two forward facing seats and leave the middle open to help prevent kicking matches. As others said, it’s a...

    4Runner Owners Registry

Thanks! This was taken from a pass along the Wild Rogue River in Oregon, west of Merlin a bit. I plan to add more utility for use further away from civilization without turning it into a full on rock crawler. I’m thinking a rear locker, mild lift to replace worn out suspension, new skid and...
