Shirlee got some new shoes over the weekend
Some wheels off an fzj80 with some wildpeak at3w's wrapped around em. Quiet on the road and traction for days.

It's kind of known as the "TEQ" logo. If you search toyota teq logo you can read about it.
It was the toyota logo from 1927 until the 80s. Without giving you a short lesson in Japanese, the 3 symbols represent a Japanese phonetic characters split up as "to-yo-ta".
Very JDM. I like.
I have...
after some craigslist runarounds (literally, i ran around all weekend after items from cragslist ads), i ended up with some wheels from a wrecked '97 FJ80 with popped tires, and some yakima crossbars that span the whole bed. in the next couple of weeks Shirlee will be getting some new shoes...
finally finished my simple dual bike rack setup with inset captured nuts in the board to keep the bed from getting too scratched. plus i've always wanted a reason to use them. pretty pleased with the decision.
and went on a camping trip to graeagle
Yep that's what I figured. They look a few days old, but it was hella cold that night so I slept in the truck anyway.
I love a good hilux surf. Spent a little time in Japan and saw a bunch of really clean ones with the little baby side mirrors on there. So JDM haha.
Thanks! I've been working...
Valve adjustments are done.
Oil pan is resealed to block.
Oil change done.
New vanity plates installed. Shout out if it actually makes sense to you, or if you want to know what it means.
Fixed rear bike carrier so it stops scratching the bed and is more secure just in general.

And I'm...
Thanks! That's what I did too. I have a Sony a6000, so not quite full frame, but close. I think my kit lens is a 16mm focal length as well. I was at 16mm, f/3.5, 30 seconds, iso 4000 in the shot below from the other night in Plumas NF. But your shot is way more detailed. I'll just have to play...
Care to share some of your setup for this? Even with a 30 second exposure and the iso cranked as high as Im comfortable with, I can't get nearly that much light in any of my astral photos.
Resealing the oil pan to the block after I mistakenly used a gasket instead of rtv last time installed it. Leaked like crazy. Now I get to do it right.
