So I have a trip lined up in about a month. My father and I are going to take about a 10 day trip from SE Texas through NM, CO, and WY. We will be pulling a travel trailer (I know but my father really can't do much more primitive given his health issues) and will be staying at my farm in...
I have but I can't seem to find details about how much lift their kits provide. Judging by the photos I'd say less then 4 inches.

I like Carli, they do good stuff. As does Icon. But neither of them make a 4 inch lift for my truck. Right now it looks like Rough Country, Pro Comp, and Mopar are going to be my best bets with Mopar being the most expensive of them.

I have two goals. First is to fit 35s under the truck. Which isn't that big of a departure from stock size. And second is to improve my ground clearance, approach, departure, and break over angles. A 4 inch lift gets me all that. I'm not concerned with cost, but I always seek value.

Yeah and in my case it isn't a Mopar issue. I am past the factory warranty but I have a lifetime drive train warranty through the dealership. It always muddies the water everytime I want to modify something. But thanks for the info.
Am I correct in saying that the AEV kit still utilizes the factory air box? If so I might be able to get away with adding one on w/o voiding my warranty.
It is all about how you use your vehicle. I haul around to much that needs cover (dog predominantly). So the truck cap is more valuable to me. Not to mention people would look at me funny when I tried to shove a Mastiff in a Ram Box.

I debated the same issue but decided against them in the end. They eat up to much bed space and effectively kill the idea of a topper or tonneau cover.

So what are your needs? Are you more needing of towing capacity and/or cargo space or nimble and agile? Because that is the heart of the question. I love my full size trucks and they are my platform of choice purely out of a need for towing capacity. But they certainly are not the best...
Well it seems I stumbled upon a wealth of knowledge in regards to Ram pickup fans. I have seen several really nice builds on Ram platforms so I thought I would asked for some thoughts. I am looking to lift my 2016 Ram 1500, because lets face it the factory approach angles suck. So my question...
Depends, are concerned about any warranty issues? I assume not sure to the age of the vehicle. But I would either start with a conversation with your local dealer or try something like this:

If I have my pants on most likely I either have a firearm on me or one is within reach. It is just how I live. The Boy Scout moto stuck with me, Be Prepared, and I don't know what life is going to throw at me 5 minutes from now so...
Well I applaud the creativity but I am a child of the South and AC it's a requirement in my vehicles. I was thinking more along the lines of a propose built unit.
