I use a combo of all of them. I use OnX, CalTopo- (great!) and BackCountry Navigator XE. That combo gets me pretty much everything I need to know. I have added OnX Offroad and Alltrails recently, but havent found them very useful yet. OnXOR will get better. I am hoping for an Android auto plugin...
Winter camping is my favorite. I have been doing it since my backpacking days, and I still enjoy it now as an overlander. These pics it was 17 degrees that night.
I really love the quiet of a snowy night.
So about what I run off this- I have only been running fairy light LEDS and charging my phone before bedtime. I am doing nothing serious with it. I dont run a fridge or anything like that. These new 12v fans may prove too much for this battery. I can definetly see myselfy upgrading to a DIY...
I plan to install my new Smittybuilt awning and adding some flat alminum slats to my roof bars for additional mounting spots.
I will also install my new Midland MXT275 GMRS radio somewhere, maybe under the dash or passenger seat.
Thanks. I was wondering what options I have to charge from the car while driving. I am not going a dual battery route. I have always been wary of the "suitcase" solar panels. I am going to look into a DC-DC charger, and see what they can offer me.
Thanks!
I am a lifelong hunter. Nowadays I only get out for a few rabbit/pheasant hunts, turkey and coyote. I dont hunt deer. I go on Arizona Coues Deer and Wyoming Elk hunts with my brother every(most) years and help him as a spotter/meat carrier.
New member/first real post....I have a question:

I am really excited. It was a big purchase. I hope I get to use it! I think I have seen an outback with a hidden winch on youtube?
I just wish I could gain a better approach angle without cutting my fogs and wiper tank out.
Im gonna go back and read this whole thread. Im a Philly guy and I travel out several times a month to Tioga, Tiadaughton and Susquehannock SF. I do almost all of my hunting and rolling around out there.
I have been running those mountains for 20 years. I know most of those roads like the back...
Hey! New member with a 2019 Crosstrek. My GF and I do a cross country camping trip every summer and the Trek is the prefect vehicle for us. We have no kids, and are very happy without them. We love to camp and travel. What sucks is our trip is seriously curtailed this year due to Covid, so I...
Hey All, Matt here, new member #25276- in Philadelphia. I'm currently running a lifted 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. I have been wheeling in some form for the last 30 years. I have always run Toyota P/Us(81, 84, 91) and then a 04 Nisssan, but gas prices and how HUGE pickup trucks have gotten pushed...
