I know it's not exactly local, but there are several up here in Spokane/Spokane Valley, CDA. I had mine installed by Hazzard Fab Works in Spokane Valley, they were reasonable (but it was also Feb 2020, so right before COVID shut downs and the price boom)
Depending on how many days you have, there's a decent path we've traveled from Coeur D'Alene to Polebridge, MT ( Mercantile there has amazing huckleberry pastries) that is mostly dirt, it'll eat up a full day from CDA though, and our group camped on the shore of the Flat Head River. PM me and I...
OnX has updated their "recent imagery" as of May 13th and Snow levels look promising for June 7-9th BDR trip. I think we'll still have snow to get through but who knows what 3 weeks will do. Section 3 I think will need to be bi-passed, and I have a tentative route in mind starting at Bethal...
That sounds just fine. we'll stop at that junction to Air Down. Garrett will be in Quincy so will just jump in the convoy at Ephrata (it's about equidistant going thought Trinidad and palisades)
We'll definitely wait if you think it'll be before 1-130. I don't want to rush anyone, but we do have some miles to cover, so just didn't want to be rolling out too late which would put us in camp late. But we're a smaller group and sun won't set till like 830 so shouldn't have any issues with...
I am trying to get the direct message to those who RSVP'd out, but keep getting an error when trying to go to the rally point... so until I can do that, we'll use this thread.
I think I had @Bodge Garage, @Buzzbee17, @G.Goodwin, and @Crackerjack... as the only RSVP's. @AcJ not sure if you...
I haven't, to be honest. Since Nat isn't coming, I was going to keep my meals super simple. (I can't cook for shit... Put it this way, I could burn water )
That being said, if we keep it relatively simple, I'm game. Any ideas?
Actually might be able to hit up Buck mountain fire lookout (6120'). Buck mountain pass might be worth a try as well(5400'down to conconully 2400') but expect we'll get stopped by snow on the pass due to north facing ridges and trees hiding snow. But the weather has really been in our favor
So looking at the recent imagery on OnX, snow levels are really good, looking like it's about 4500 ft, meaning to get to the very top of funk mountain we will encounter snow but it looks like it's only the last hundred yards or so. I'm going to plan on a solid attempt to summit, but know it may...
It's definitely not private road, that I've verified. The signs we saw when we were there in April were not official, just looked like land owners trying to keep the traffic down. I called the ranger station and though they didn't have jurisdiction(I was checking on a couple other areas), they...
Hi Brent, I followed the link but it says for paid members only, does that mean we need to pay to find the details or pay to attend? just want to be clear.
Thanks!
Since you're going to be over that way anyways I'd say head that way even if we don't connect since it's not out of your way, but we'll coordinate and see if we can make it work.
a local steel shop called Alcobra Metals. I'd just do a google search for Metal distributers in your area. they actually provided all the metal (minus the alum trim) and even cut it into specific lengths for me. I did this so the cuts were for sure square and exact. I did end up triming some...
Ok I know we have Whiskey Rock this weekend, but a few of us took the 12-14th and Scouted out a trip for May, and I'll be posting the Rally Point after. The trip will probably be limited to 10 rigs due to camp site size, and since it's going to be in the foothills of the cascades, I didn't want...
