Hey all,
So I've got a trip coming up going through BC and Alberta. We may hit some forest Service roads that are designated as Resource Roads and thus have a protocol for calling out at set KM's on a specific RR (Resource Road) channel.
I've been able to find the frequencies, they look to be...
Honestly I can help... I'm more of a grinder than a welder... but if you have 0 idea, I can at least get you started. I'm in Spokane
Shoot, nm you're all the way down by Boise... I thought there was a Caldwell in north Idaho...
Absolutely no problem! just need to know where and when to pick up! Do you have some tables? I might be able to source a couple normal sized folding tables if needed, but I'll have to chat with some folks.
Otherwise I'll have my two King Camp tables
It was a great trip. Bethel ridge was good, 0 snow, the road down to that camp site was probably the most technical of the entire trip. The ruts were bad in the corner but were easily bypassed, though I was able to make it through relatively easy (drug my diff a bit but never struggled for...
Welcome!
My advice would be, learn as much as you can on tread lightly (they have an overlanding specific section too), safety (both first aid and just being safe off road), and off-road etiquette. and link up with a few folks in your area for good places to go... then GO! your Raptor is an...
First I don't understand what's going on... Whenever I post a link to something on overland bound it links to a diesel heater. I did link to that diesel heater in another conversation like 8 months ago. But this is even a different phone and yet somehow overland-bound remembers that link...
Agreed. My rtt(ikamper skycamp 3) is pretty fast to deploy and pack up for the tent itself, but gotta inflate/deflate the mattress, pack/unpack bedding (can't keep it in the tent) then set everything else like kitchenm, awning, bathroom up.
And yes even with a hard shell, I still have to watch...
Yeah and I think that's part of it, we've done about 10 trips with it, one for two weeks... and found it pushes me to bring too much lol (I have the space so why not fill it mentality) and I really like the idea of basically 0 setup/tear down if needed.
But yeah, I'll probably slowly refine it...
Looks great! I am strongly considering scrapping my trailer that I built last year (Cargo box with RTT on top) to do a Square Drop... thankfully the wife doesn't read this forum lol. I just really should have stuck with the original plan of a square drop. really liking your build!
