PSA for those who may not know...Tow balls are NOT recovery points!

This is an interesting subject to me and I realize that each vehicle and tow is different. On my F-350 I have a Class 5 hitch I believe and have been using the pin to hold my strap that is doubled over at the Loop so that it’s 2” wide and fits inside the receiver. I just looked up the strength...

    White Rim Favorite Campsites

Let me tack on another question as well... I understand that you should apply for the campsites the day they become available so does that mean that you have to apply 2 or 3 times depending on the number of nights you want to camp on the trail? Thanks.

Choosing a Fuel - RtW options

Also what is your timeframe? If it is in the next 3 years or so then get a vehicle that will accept higher sulphuric diesel like a 79 LC if you can get one in Europe. They are the most common vehicle in Southern Africa. If your time frame is longer then maybe a newer diesel will be psoosble if...

    Is this one of us?

This came up on another site.. Apparently someone in a Chevy busted his axle in Death Valley and after he replaced the axle he left the busted one on the side of the road!! The guy is from Utah and very well may be a member here. WTF was he thinking... Anyone know who this is or the full story?

    2019 Ford Ranger

I got to drive one for a bit at a drive event last year. Very comfortable front seats and enough room in the rear for adults on a short trip. The engine was very peppy, more than I thought. I’m looking to buy a new truck sometime this year and the Ranger and Jeep Gladiator are on my short list.

    Most Amazing Places on Earth...

There are too many places to just limit it but I’ll give it a go (I’ll probably change my mind in 10 minutes!) Top 5 places I’ve been (in no particular order) - Botswana - Yellowstone - Death Valley - Nova Scotia - Costa Rica Places to go - Namibian desert (going in April) - Prude Bay / Tuk...
