my tires finally arrived this morning after some issues with the shipping company, but tire rack was excellent with their customer service. they contacted the shipping company to have them figure out what happened on their end and also started processing a replacement order to send in case the...
yeah, i have looked at them, but i'm kind of stuck with what i have since the trailer barely clears the garage door to get it in there. i'll be running the same size tire , but i wanted just a little more clearance in the "wheel well" area when the spring compresses and the wheel/tire moves...
got a decent amount of things done this weekend, lots of little things and some semi bigger. i got some general grabber atx tires ordered and will go pick up some wheels either today or tomorrow so that i have some better tires. i wanted something with more durability and better speed ratings...
i've been pretty busy with work the last couple months, so the trailer has been less of a priority until now. i'm getting things ready for a trip from SoCal to Montana to visit family and i just got a couple things to work on for now.
first, my neighbor does flooring and he told me before a...
at least you can try it out on the trailer and adjust or add depending on your needs. best way i've figured out what works for me is by trying something out even after putting a lot of thought into it. best of luck and let us see what ends up working for you. it's always good to see what...
I'd say the trailer would be a good place for it. if you think about it, the trailer allows you to have most of all the stuff you take with you on a trip ready to go. if you don't plan on leaving the awning on the car all the time, the trailer makes more sense. the less work you have to do in...
cleared everything out today to help a friend move, worked out awesome. the guy's kids were having fun getting in the trailer when it was empty and pretending it was an ice cream truck and taking orders using the window. got a lot of big stuff moved, worked out well.
now that the trailer is...
awesome, thanks for sharing the info, it will be good to consider as an option. the van looks pretty cool, definitely pics that i can draw inspiration from.
after looking around online and having a hard time figuring out what mattress to go with (most had mixed reviews), i found out about a local guy that makes his own folding foam mattresses and sells them at the swap meet. i contacted him and was able to stop by his place to pick up a mattress...
oh, for sure. there were a lot of things that i like with the timbren set up, eventually i see myself getting it. thanks for checking out the thread and thanks for the compliment.
Deep Creek Hotsprings Campground near Hesperia, CA. I had never been there and it was a cool little spot. The views were nice and the hot springs are a couple mile hike from the campground.

oh, and i forgot to mention that my air mattress finally died...
Took the trailer on a little camping trip this weekend and overall it was pretty good for the bare bones set up. it was nice having the solid walls as it was a bit windy, but not too bad. it was cold out and the trailer was still chilly inside, so i really do need to get the ceiling insulated...
nice, i've been leaning towards a full size mattress because most of the fold ups are 4 inches thick and i'm a big guy. i might just keep looking for now and use the air matress in the mean time.
i already have a smittybilt 6'x8' awning that i would attach to my roof rack on the suv, but it's...
got dead bolts installed on the doors to make it easier to lock the doors from the inside and add a little extra security as well. i have the trailer set up good enough for a super basic camping trip this weekend, so i'm excited to spend my first night in it tomorrow night.
i think i have...
i got a lot of little stuff done today and also got most of the front end put together. i put in new boards underneath on the curved edges in the front to fill the gaps in so i could put in foam to fill the rest of the voids in the frame. i still need to trim back the foam when it dries, then...
For sure, it's pretty versatile. I was a little apprehensive buying one in the first place since I don't have a lot of vital electrical gadgets that need recharged during a camping trip. Being able to use it for many things has made me feel way better about purchasing one. Jackery is the only...
