How To: GMRS - ZA FCC LICENSE

Thanks, I’m east coast area (TN), I just thought I remembered a few years ago there being a OB specific channel. I have seen recently someone post on another forum that channel 15 was the General Overland GMRS Channel.

How To: GMRS - ZA FCC LICENSE

I understand all that I’m just trying to just figure out if the Overland Bound community has a dedicated channel that we usually use and monitor.

Today I finished up a couple more organizational things, a box in area to keep my son’s turnout gear contained, and a box for my chainsaw stuff. A few months ago I installed quick fists on the back part of the Diamondback Cover to hold my shovel and axe.

    Weather Apps

The problem I currently have with any of the apps is where we generally go to camp there is “NO” cellular connection. The Garmin InReach Mini does have the best weather, we have been surprised with rain and storms several times.

Currently I’m in the process of making a bracket for the Trail Rocker, the winch solenoid, and the solenoid for the rear Anderson plug. Also mounted the HiLift to the side of the bed.

I totally understand, it’s an old outdated platform, but it’s fun I’m just not much of a fabricator so the struggle is real. LOL

Most of the big stuff is readily available, it’s all the small stuff like brackets to mount the newer overland stuff, such as air compressors, switch controls, and etc. My previous vehicle was a 2015 Jeep, I didn’t have to custom make anything, everyone made brackets so stuff just bolted right up.

I’m already driving a 3/4 truck, and I won’t be building a new trailer anytime soon. However it is the next step.

Also now that I have a shop my next one will be from the ground up, with an inside sleeping area. I literally “built” this one in my gravel driveway.

I totally agree. Always use jack stands!! If you have ever pulled a dead body out from under a collapsed floor jack it’ll stick with you. Also, so many of this younger generation are so scared of a bumper jack (aka HiLift, etc) back in the day every car came with them. Just got to learn to...
