Just saw this. I'm from Hulbert, Peggs area. Can't wait for some decent Temps to get out and camp. Any suggestions within 100 miles of my area?
I mostly camp within a 100 mile area around Peggs! I love Sequoyah State Park, Tenkiller, Greenleaf. Just south and west of you is the Ouachita National Forest and also the Ozark Nation Forest if you're wanting to do some trail riding and back country camping. I'd recommend an app like Gaia GPS or onX for finding trails and great public land spaces.

Newbie from Tulsa here. Just bought a '00 Suburban to build out. It'll be a minute till we are ready, but I'm anxious to see what kind of opportunities there are in OK.
A bunch around the south-eastern portion. Other than that, it's a lot of privately owned flat land and a few off road parks. Most of the "action" will be in Arkansas.

For comparison
Oklahoma only has about 700,000 acres of federally owned public land.
Arkansas has over 3 MILLION acres, most of which are the Ouachita and Ozark national forests.
