OB member in latest OutdoorX4 issue

OX4 is a fantastic magazine that I'd imagine more than a few of us read. For those of you unfamiliar, I'd highly recommend checking it out as it is chock full of overland goodness. I was just happy that the latest issue was in my mailbox so I ripped open the plastic. There to my surprise was...

    Any Preppers/Threepers?

Former Navy, proud flag flying patriot here. I come from a long line of family members who served so it's safe to say it was 'built in'. I don't consider myself a prepper but have alway believed it made sense to be prepared for whatever might come. As we all know overlanding is a great way to...

    Overland expo East

Looking forward to more pics. While they're not the best for gas mileage they certainly are convenient.

    New Shirts

I'd definitely be in for one as long as it had the features I'm looking for. I'm presently looking for a soft shell jacket with a removable/stowable hood and internal stretch cuffs. The Condor Summit has all the features I'm looking for minus the internal cuffs.

    Hitchgate?

Yeah I'm familiar with the lighter weight Solo. There are aspects that I certainly like about it but unfortunately there are some that I don't when compared to a hard mounted swing out. It's a pricey bugger. Especially considering that I would need to either purchase and use a hitch I don't like...

    Hitchgate?

So how bad is it that my first reaction when I saw the title of the thread was.. what scandal is this? Haha. I've been debating between Wilco or fabbing an entire rear bumper/carrier. Been leaning towards a bumper but that's mainly because it would solve other Subaru 'issues'. My wife is truly...

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Thank you very much. I recently installed the additional lift Grant and I were going back and forth about as well as a few more things. No pics yet but will share some soon.

Offline maps for tablet or smartphone....what app do you use?

That is correct. I use an iPad 2 and the Dual 150 external gps. Very pleased with it but I would like a Delorme for easy communication outside of cell range.

    Subaru vs. Hell's Revenge

All the while being quiet, comfortable, and returning good gas mileage. Gotta love off road Subaru's.

    Subarus Offroad

Definitely not new but certainly outside the box. I've generally been met with awe but it does take some convincing at times as some people think it's just a look. The employees at the dealership are the best as my wagon draws a crowd and a litany of questions. That's what it would take for me...

Offline maps for tablet or smartphone....what app do you use?

I use Gaia and Scenic Map on my iPad. Everybody knows Gaia but Scenic Map is very cool with its 3D topo maps.

    Vehicle Tools (Merged thread)

I'm a big fan of the BROG tool bag and I think one if these days I'll definitely pick one up. @grantwilson sells them and did a nice long term review of it. Both are linked here. http://offroadsubaru.com/store#!/BROG-Tool-Bag/p/71662138/category=20855408

Welcome to the fold! I hope you enjoy your new Subaru.

    Vehicle Tools (Merged thread)

I have a tool bag with sufficient variety to disassemble/reassemble my wagon. Funny how nothing, sans an engineers hammer, is heavy alone but together the heft is impressive. I really should put some thought into what I can do without.

    Scout Equipment

That's @FozRoamer 's Forester in the first pic. Don't know if he can help you with your question but on here he'd be the one.

    2015 Subaru Forester XT

Don't get me wrong I love the functionality of my Husky mats. I'm very happy with them and the fact that they're made in the USA. I had ordered them before I even took delivery of my car and they went in almost immediately after I got home. They've been there ever since. Looking like a work...

    2015 Subaru Forester XT

Those look really nice. I like them a lot vs the normal deep grooved Husky (what I own) or WeatherTech mats.
