...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Thank you! Like I said it's a bit silly but it satisfies a curious nature haha. I've actually been expecting some updates on your build thread. Glad to hear it's vacation from the world is coming to an end. Thank you as well. I've gotten so used to controlling it through the app I didn't even...

    Subaru Forester 2016

Sure, have fun with it! Everyone knows, or should know, just how capable Subaru's are in stock form. Adding tires and some more clearance on top of the 8.7" it comes with will only add to that. It looks like you have a plan and you're covering the basics so get out there and get some experience...

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Haven't posted any updates in a while so here we go... This is a silly little thing but some serious side slopes got me thinking about how it would be nice to know. Having a surprising amount of ground clearance with a low roof line and Subaru drivetrain has great center of gravity benefits but...

    Best Overland Gifts...

Gotta love made in America BROG! I forget the size but I have these on the back of my seats as well. I'm definitely pleased with them but with very knee friendly concave seat backs there's a decent sized gap in the middle with only top/bottom attachment points. That wouldn't be an issue with the...

    HID vs LED

Both HID and LED are available in warmer temps. I never recommend anything north of 5000k which is "daylight". By comparison OE HID typically comes in around 4300k and is the most usable light temperature. Just wait til the fed approves laser headlights...

    HID vs LED

This is exactly what my high beams do. Bright scattered light that barely lights anything up in front of my low beams. This is also exactly what you see in searched images. To each their own but I don't see why anyone would want the current LED options swapped into their headlights. You get what...

    HID vs LED

Haha. I've had HIR bulbs to replace my high beam LEDs for a long time now. The hold up is Subaru's DRL setup which uses the high beams in the states. I have a plan but have been dragging my feet. I'm not going to lie, I chuckled a bit when you brought price into the discussion. I bought my...

    HID vs LED

Just curious what you consider to be a negative? I'm a function>form guy and I choose HID for my low beams because they flat out outperform LEDs. Nothing to do "looking cool". I might entertain the idea of putting LEDs in projectors but a quick search of google images shows how they don't have...

    HID vs LED

It totally depends on the application. Projector or reflector housing? High or low beam?I've never had an issue with HID headlights and as you said they are brighter. I'll add that I've been running HIDs since 2003 problem free. On top of that they make better use of the headlight housing...

I know it seems like forever since I suggested it... but try using multi quotes. You just filled an entire page with posts when you could have accomplished the same in only one.

Welcome from a fellow Pennsyltucky member. As far as getting the tires dirty on your Jeep goes here are a couple great options. Rausch Creek and AOAA. The Pine Barrens in NJ are closer to your home but I haven't been there yet.

This is exactly where I am right now except the smoke doesn't bother me. Nice shot of a Luna moth btw.

They can still be individual.. and personalized replies. Multi quotes accomplish the same thing and they save space. Just a suggestion.

Not sure if it was your intention or not but you can quote multiple posts at the same time just by clicking reply under each one and they'll stack up.
