Definitely interested. I don't know too much about all of it but thought the best way was to dive in. Plan on working on my ham license when I get some free time.
I just picked one of these up and waiting on my license to come through. Does everyone upgrade the antenna? I'm probably only going to be using it for trail rides.
Recommend going. Like moose above mentioned the weather does change. When we went started with a bright sunny day. Turned to overcast at the top, came in very fast. Rained on the way down and was sunny again when we made it to the bottom. We have a Toyota Tacoma, felt it wasn't bad but if...
Hey everyone. I'm headed to the Ozarks for the first time for Rendezvous in the Ozarks. I have a small list of things to see and do (like the carwash falls) but would also like to know what everyone recommends. Hikes, trails, sights, food. We will probably be camping at the event but if...
So I haven't been out there yet but I have a few friends camp in the Kisatchie National Forest. Ozarks are north, supposed to be fun to explore. I'm headed there in a few weeks for Rendezvous in the Ozarks.
Looking to do a day trip to Homochitto National Forest in Mississippi. Anyone have any recommend routes or would it be better to just wander around the fire roads? I know there are a few older bridges, have a pin on one. Thanks!
Typically music or conversation. We just made the trip from MA to LA, 27 ish hours because of the moving trailer. Thinking about maybe books or even the backlog of podcasts but I usually have my fiancee with me and we have different tastes in that area so music it is.
If you can, go out shooting with some friend's gear if they're willing to let you borrow it. For me, it all came down to how the interface worked in my hands. I happen to go Canon but when I initially started looking, I was looking at Nikon. I've always gone used, can get more for the money...
Like to explore more of these areas too. Hoping to hit the abandoned trains and bomber sometime this summer. If you're not part of the overland bound east fb group, you should join the group. I've been getting some hints and tips from those guy/ girls.
I've been using my iPhone 7 plus for everything and has worked fine so far. Picked up an android tablet with GPS for offline maps as a backup, being that if I need the phone as a phone or looking for alternative routes on the go. I would have liked to stick with Apple as I have had better luck...
Nothing exciting but been meaning to get around to it. Until I upgrade to an offroad front bumper, this will have to do.
Next thing will hopefully be skids.
Have a pair of Caliraised ditch lights. Used their harness and bracket. Once I get a roof rack, like to do some some surrounding, help with camp set up at night.
Last thing bought, few small items to do the rear diff mod. Just in case.
Next to buy, hopefully a full set of skids. (Open to east coast recommedations)
Budget building, one piece at a time.
