    Maritime Canada Expedition

I second this recommendation. I grew up in Sydney and my dad's family are from Ingonish on the Cabot Trail. During the summers as a kid we spent a lot of time in and around Meat Cove, beautiful location for camping and star gazing.

    Hej from South East Sweden

Rick the landy has approx 200K on the clock but that is really an estimate as the speedo has been replaced at least once by a previous owner and once by me. Nearly every nut, bolt on the landy has been replaced in the 18 years of ownership plus I do all the mechanical stuff myself, so the...

Thank you Chad! I think over the long weekend I'll make a post of our trip last summer to Gotland, 7 nights of wild camping on the island.

    Scandinavian trip in 2020

That's the problem here, there is soooo much to see or soooo much you will miss. I realize you will want to make up time by using E6 in Norway, but do take a few of the smaller roads along the coast if you can. The southern parts ok there will be more tourists but the further north you get the...

    Wild Camping in Scandinavia.

Motorized overlanders or RV's have stricter guidelines as those vehicles fall also under the offroad vehicle laws. The law states "there is no right of public access for motorized vehicles" If you for example drive onto a grassy meadow and camp, you can be penalized if reported to the police...

    Hej from South East Sweden

Hello Rick, thanks for the welcome to the OB family. My landy is my pride and joy, it is well maintained and I'd take it on any trip without any hesitation. When the kids were young it was tight for long trips but today it's just the wife and I, so it's just right for the two for us...

    Wild Camping in Scandinavia.

I'm a new member to this forum and live in Sweden. I noticed that it is written that the allemänsrätt here in Sweden was 48hrs, that is incorrect, it's actually 24 hours. With that said, as mentioned several times in this thread keeping low profile and out of eyesight does help a lot if you wish...

    Hej from South East Sweden

Hej, I'm a Canadian living in South Eastern Sweden who's been involved with 4x4's since I was a kid sitting in the back of my dad's offroaders in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Myself I'm hooked on Land Rover's and have owned them since the late 80's. My present landy is 1980 Series 3, 88"...
