If you plan a trip to Michigan, I'd like to get in on it if your going with a group. We usually go up to Traverse City every summer, then to the U.P. Wanted to do Drummond Island this fall, but probably won't make it. But I'd do a run up to Michigan if others are going.
If money were no object, I'd have quite a few different vehicles. But two primary reasons I stay with Jeep, 1) It's rich military heritage, and 2) I can go topless. I just love the freedom of being able to take the top off in a couple minutes and enjoy the drive. I don't care for cars so a...
Yah, Bent River Dirty Deltas is primarily a Wrangler group. Every meet up I've gone too, it's about rock crawling or mudding, so I haven't dome much lately. I'm more into the overlanding scene. Plus most of those guys have kick ass jobs that can afford them the $80,000 Jeeps. My budget is way...
Lol, good vid, but I'll keep my Wrangler, thanks. And yah, Iphone over Android any day of the week. But if I was to buy a LR, I'm partial to the LR3. No particular reason, just really like them.
Our local group here in the Quad Cities affiliated with the Dirty Deltas out of Chicago. I haven't done a lot of events with them. But has a good core group of people.
I have a very reliable Chevy Avalanche I can sell you for about half of what your looking to spend. Well, it's my wifes. But we want to sell it since we have three vehicles. Otherwise, me personally, I'd love to get my hands on an older Jeep Liberty KJ. Just saw one the other day off Kimberly Rd...
Welcome to the forum. You'll get plenty of good advice on here from some very knowledgeable people. As Steve stated, what is your ultimate goal? Do you have a family that you need to accommodate for on your journeys? Are you more of a "soft roader", or do you want to run the trails in Moab...
Lol, no kidding. I think that's everywhere. Usually if I see a modded WK, WJ, XJ, etc., I think they are more serious about off roading than a modded Wrangler. There is a Jeep group here in the area who do a lot of wheelin, but they are few and far between. Also if I see an older Jeep such as a...
Glad you made it over from the Jeep forum. That'll make 4 Jeeps heading over from the QC area. One is in Iowa City, but close enough. BTW, going to be a nice weekend finally. Gonna have to go topless!!!
Lol, there is a hierarchy to some degree. Older Jeeps get the respect before new Jeeps. Jeeps that are not modded initiate the wave to the more heavily modded Jeeps, etc. And if you're driving a vintage WWII Jeep, I'll stand and salute.
