Gps tracking or disabling vehicle

I live in a neighborhood which is just lousy with knuckleheads...
I'm quite concerned about vandalism and vehicle theft Etc.
Does anybody here use Gps tracking programs? Or Gps remote kill switches?
Also, what are some of the best ways to disable your vehicle to prevent or deter theft? Would love to hear some input on this subject!

I just read a little bit of the thread. Interesting idea putting a switch in line with the EFI(?) circuit and using a magnet to close the switch.

My patriot came with a month free of their Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System or EVTS. I ended up upgrading to the Silver package for life since I too lived in a sketchy area and this was my first brand new vehicle. It came with a few cool add ones that ultimately won me over.
