oh and my wife helped me lifting the rack up, that wasn't pleasant. You can hoist the rack up in your garage with ratchets. Now that i have that setup i wish i have done it that way. Doing it during winter did not help either, you will need pain reliever for the following day ;)
Nice and those half-doors look good. I did the removable crossbars as well, so i essentially installed the bars on my RTT so mounting the RTT to the rack is easier, and gets you a bit of flexibility where you want it mounted.
fyi, it is the wind deflector that is actually causing the...
well the last time i ran it in my garage in full blast with my 20lb tank for maybe 6hrs (installing roof rack in winter), my garage had that signature smell for about 2 days. But yes it did work nicely that long, got the garage up to high 50s.
I do remember the last time i used it on a tent i...
The ones i'm finding are not the shorty ones, so maybe that fell out of style. Not a big deal.
I assume you guys have no problem with the smell sticking to the tents then?

RE Buddy Heater, i have one and plan to use it soon in the tent. Last time i used it my garage smelled for a few days, just curious if you folks have problems with smell sticking to the tent at all?
I have 6 and 8 boys and they really get well along together. They enjoy the outdoors especially the freedom part of it. They love camping, the firepit, smores, and still young enough to mind the mosquitoes. I hardly think of going out on a trip without them.
If there's one thing i can...
it's always there for piece of mind. I used to drive an F150 which goes 12mpg and during those long stretches where you miss a gas station (it happens) it always feels good to know that you have some extra.
Accidentally drove across Kansas in the middle of nowhere, yeah i was glad i was...
A gobi rack has like 6 bolts (or 2) if you have quick disconnects. Doing this by yourself, you can get a hardtop hoist and use that to first remove the rack, set it down and move it aside, then remove the hardtop, reinstall rack (or leave it off). If you plan to do this only on occasion then...
Recently, Loaded and Unloaded, i have been getting 14MPG. JK Rubicon, 32" stock MTs, 4.10. I've added a roof rack which brought my MPG down from high 14s down to 14.0. Not a lot of highway driving, only when i am on a trip and that means Jeep is loaded.
Last year, i was getting 16mpg so i am...
mine just showed up yesterday. I was hoping to test it out on the snow but all that white stuff will pretty sure be gone by this weekend (hitting 60s). Fits nicely on the roof rack and it's black so it's pretty low-key.
i plan to do the same on mine, you can never have enough waterproofing.. I did test my Plano last weekend. We did trail ride, and huge water splashes (kids love it), and hundred of miles on heavy rain going about 65mph. As soon as i got home, I brought the boxes down and all our clothes and...
Tested out my plano storage trunk. All my stuff was dry after hours on the rain.
Enjoying some forest trails in february. Where's all the snow?! Lots of ice but the KM tires performed well.
