I dont know the exact TAT route but I would certainly try to meet you and buy you a beer. Do you have a thread for your planning or anything so we can follow along?
Pretty rad to see a bunch of people here in Ontario. Hopefully going to get some spring runs/ cleanups sorted. I figure we will all be itching to go once trails reopen/thaw
On road feel is nice with 20" because theyll feel more firm; however the 17" wheel profile will be more forgiving off road and like Ben mentioned above the 17" options will be much cheaper and likely have more options for tires.
Im definitely interested in doing another, I had heard from some folks that came on the last run that it gets pretty crazy during the summer and finding a campsite could be difficult.
@TacoVenturer87 if you have facebook look up the Ontario Overland group page as well as Southern Ontario 4x4...
Welcome to OB, nice to see more Canadians on here.
I feel the same way regarding groups, typically the smaller ones are better to run trails when theres less people to worry about and you have an idea of each persons skill and ability. Large groups are good for meets and coffees.
Welcome to Overland Bound!
Glad to see more Southern Ontario folks popping up. If you go into the Regions Page > North America > Canada > Ontario youll see posts from a more concentrated areas including some info and discussions on trail runs, cleanups and meetups.
Welcome to OB! Bring some LC80s over with you and youll make some crazy profit on them.
Cant wait to see some pictures of the rigs and definitely a full trip report from when you do your trip in the U.S.
Welcome to overland bound! I think what @Chadlyb ^ is trying to say is holy moly we're jealous of that set up! Patriot campers are the most complete and comprehensive build ive ever seen. The only downside to them is you may not want to return to your home after living out of it for a week...
Welcome to Overland Bound! Unfortunately for you im definitely going to give you some grief for selling the K5! Ive seen some of those built up and I would love to make it into a dedicated offroad rig.
