Texas has rich history for sure, i think i have a good chance of getting my old history professor involved... he is a splunker! If he can find caves, i am sure we can find lots of other things. I will be going to my library tonight!
That is how it is working out for me, Hunting, fishing, offroading, camping etc... I plan to start with my local favorites and see if it helps. Trying to discover new facilities is the difficult part. Most of the good stuff is WWII and older. So using the web to find record of them is difficult.
Broke in my Echo CS-450 20" this weekend. It is not a trail saw by any means... honestly its killing a fly with a howitzer on our ten acres lol But I am very impressed with the wight, power, and ease of operation. I expected no less after owning a CS-310.... a very long time.
I have a Stihl...
I am going back to some old roots in exploring. I love adventure any way i can get it i guess... I just work so much that i want to make the most of my time off.
I love exploring abandoned military, industrial, forestry, or otherwise derelict areas and facilities. Old cotton gins, Oil business...
Being in the first 1,000 i can honestly say... it is baffling at times lol
Heck... this thing kicked off in California... i live in Texas... In just the first 1,000 folks it reached that far... CRAZYYYY
Im hanging in here on the gulf coast finding adventure when i can.
Wish i was out west /...
I have been out of touch lately, so glad to have access to the webs again.
I don't own, nor have I ever owned a Subaru... and I am still pumped about this thread.
You guys pump me up. Keep doing what you do.
Need someone to help me plan a little drive.
My dad and i are turnaround planners/coordinators. He is working at a refinery there near Blaine WA. I will be staying with an old Army buddy.
He is working 12 hour days and i will be out n about with his 212 superduty FX4 (just like mine at home)...
We leave in July, and this will be one hell of a ride with a toddler. But he has memory foam and loads of snacks so he will be fine. I will be going to see family and friends, some from my time in service, the rest at t family reunion in South Carolina. My family originates from there... i am...
At that point Roy will be almost 2 years old... and probably a tiny terrorist with the destructive ability of a hurricane.
We will be the red 4runner with an RTT about 500 yards from everyone else for your sanity lol
