    Who cooks with a Wok?

I’ve been using my Wok (black steel with steel handle) at home to season it. Have since taken it on several weekends camping. Seasoning it has been super easy so it doesn’t stick at all. I’ve found it easy to cook just about anything with on the coals or on my Soto Muka stove. Cleaning it out...

Weekend: Pizza with a chance of Snow

Recently we drove in convoy (normally solo!) and explored a couple of National Parks within hours of home. Whilst we were warned weather would be cold (that doesn't stop us!) we weren't expecting anything fluffy this far north. Read the story here...

Overlanding the Aussie Alps: Part 4

As we drove, we perused the Hema for our options. Our conundrum was simple, we didn’t want to backtrack, anywhere if possible. It felt like we were at the wrong end of Zeka Spur Track, but were still undecided when Howitt Hut appeared.... Read the rest...

    AUS: Victorian High Country Trip

We spent a week in the Mountains for the first time earlier this year. Keep in mind, Australia doesn’t do altitude like the rest of the world, but given our meanderings in the desert below sea level, these were brave new heights for us! Hema, LandCruiser and 10 days to kill [emoji108] Part...

    4500 mile Australian Expedition

Hi OB folk! Thought I would share my 13 part Trip Report from last year's Australian misadventure. 4500 miles of solo travel, almost nothing went to plan. Everything from vehicle issues to illness. Combined with our travel permits into remote and limited access lands meant we had to re-route...

    Overland Cooking and Recipes

Unless its char grilled flesh, I'm in the habit of one-pot-wonders. Spicey mince (ground meat) or casseroles. Else a roasted piece of meat with vegetables in the campoven. Easier to prepare, cook and clean. I've recently purchased a grill net and I'd like to try making my own burger patties...

    IKamper Skycamp Roof Top Tent

Bah! I met someone who brought 4 hiking tents along on a trip to claim a huge space by surrounding themselves with said tents. Cheeky, but to hell with carrying more camping gear than needed.

    Who cooks with a Wok?

Tell me about it! However - I am planning on ordering the Snow Peak black steel wok - its a tidy 300mm with a detachable handle. Bit pricey but their black steel is nice and the size should be quite good for us.
