Not sure I've checked in formally....we are a family of 6 with a 200 series and patriot in tow. Finally back in SATX - not moving again. We just linked up with some fellow toyota folks via alamo city LCs at Hidden Falls. Would be interested in the next rally point.

Thanks! I'm in Anderson Creek Club, you? I took part in a group ride through LFD off road. It was a paid ride but the trails were nice and we had dedicated spotters. I've got a full size family (4 kiddos), you?

LFD is hosting a ride this weekend near Uwharrie. Look it up on LFD offroads FB page. It's not free but there should be a decent/controlled crowd. The ride is not supposed to be super technical. We are a family of 6 and will be going for the day.

Hello all, my family of 6 has relocated to Spring Lake, NC! We've actually been here for about 18 months but between field time and deployments we haven't been able to travel much. The family rig is a 200 series LC and I drive a 5th gen T4R. For family trips we have a patriot camper and hope...
We've spent some time out in the Pisgah just south of Asheville. Though I didn't find many trails in that particular part, the waterfalls are stunning and worth the trip if you don't get much of that. Specifically, Court House Falls, Skinny Dip Falls and Looking Glass.
I haven't taken part...
We stayed at Parker's Creek, loop 1. The sites are perfect for base camp. We had out patriot camper out there with us and managed to fit everything. Keep in mind we are a family of 6 so space is necessary!! There was a bathroom nearby and we were less than 1/2 mile from the beach entry lake...
A buddy and I are trying to leave outta here tomorrow around noon. It's about a 4.5 hour drive to get there. Sliding rock might be our first stop. Found a spot about 20-30 min from sliding rock that's supposed to have dispersed camping. I think we may spend the weekend exploring these...
Going to be south/southwest of asheville scoping out some of the "watering holes of asheville".
Places like sliding rock and skinny dip falls, etc.... I have a patriot trailer, hope to camp out there this weekend but am unfamiliar with these areas. Has anyone done any dispersed camping in...
Hey all, we are taking a family trip to Jordan Lake, just for one day/night (25 May). I have a family of 6, with my youngest being 2. I have a site reserved and we will be taking our patriot camper out for the first time as an entire family.
That said, is there anything amazing we must...
Yup, we made it but ran into a snag. I'll be making a post about it shortly, covering our new patriot camper, the "issue" that I encountered, and the lessons learned!

So just to be sure I’m understanding, this section is pretty rough to go alone? The marker is where I was going to camp. We don’t have a lot of time and my kids want to camp tonight, tomorrow.
As it stands now, I’ll be arriving at 1700.
If this is a bad idea, I’d love another suggestion...
I was literally planning on hitting this route tomorrow around 4pm w/ 2 of my kids. We just got our patriot camper and we were going to do the first 1/2, coming from 1-40, and stopping around the 1/2 way mark to camp for the night. Which part gets technical? I have no issue only doing the...
