Nope, I have done most of Moab with no body damage. I've got one good scratch and one dent in the lower rocker right in front of the bumper on the rear drivers side from not paying attention.
Hey welcome. Well this weekend the weather looks ok, and I'd be up for something, if anyone else is.
Although I'm low on ideas. We're sort of still new to the area. We came here last Septemeber, but we travel regularly out of the area.
What part of Succor Creek did you explore? Just down the...
It's more compliant at taking hits. So the front was kind of harsh over things like ruts and large potholes. Now it's more like diving in and coming out of the whole, very smooth. Hard to explain. But the jarring is gone.
The boogie bumps really have been worthwhile as well. We used to hit the...
Congratulations on the new Power Wagon man. I think there is another guy here with one who is active on the FB Group.
I'm hosting Power Wagons in Moab again this year, April 30 - May 6 2018 if you're interested in really finding out how capable these rigs are.
With the snow almost here and...
Likely based on the research they are using roads loosely and including forest and service roads. And triangulating most likely. I did some rough estimates based on their use of Yellowstone looking between 14 & 26. Given that there are hundreds of miles of land, my guess is they are basing it on...
In other news, we've been pulling people out of the snow and the mud here lately. After the Jeep recovery in my video above, we came across this fellow who got stuck the next day.
After that, I decided to pick up soem soft shackles and a Factor55 Hitchlink 2.5. I had planned on building a...
You remember Eric from the year before in the blue Jeep Liberty, I mean he's done Hells and Finns and follow all of us through Elephant hill on those little tires. I'd say that knowing WTF you are doing is more important than the mods on your rig to a certain degree. Also, being able to make an...
Yeah, I'd say you could have a few years ago. It was particularly torn up this past May though, worse than it's been ever before. Although the hard side is not as damaged as what was suppose to be the easy side. I dunno if that's from side by sides or just EJS, but that was a trail that at one...
LOL, I drove Fins and Things in a stock Ram Power Wagon on 33's.
Hells, Poison Spider even Elephant Hill to name a few. You didn't need a 4.5 inch lift or 37's to do it. :p
Well, I have much larger rig now, but I've had a smaller non-traditional rig out there a few years back. On 31 inch tires, if that tells ya anything.
Best advice, pick up this book.

There is so much to Moab, it's hard to just throw out generalities without knowing...
Highlight reel from our most recent VLOG of just the Power Wagon wheeling in the snow up at Stanley Lake in Stanley, Idaho, along with a recovery and my thoughts on our 37-inch Toyo Open Country MT's in the snow.
